So, can I now go down to a dealer and place an order for a non-250 car?!? Not that it's guaranteed to be built or whatever, of course.

No- I was under the impression that the waitlist was for people who wanted the special ones... I just want a normal car I can drive, not a numbered special edition, so I skipped it.

I'm going to be annoyed if I can't get one because I didn't sign up for the waitlist.

It’s my understanding that the wait list was primarily for people who wanted one who didn’t get one of the 1st 250. Secondarily, for Cadillac to be able to fill any vacated spots from the 1st 250. I believe that the jury is still out as to how those who want one can get one. You have the waitlist and then you have dealership allocations.

I think outside the official waitlist, you'll have to get a dealer allocation to place an order

@RupertH Thats what I did...my car is a "dealer allocation" as far as I know. You should go to your local dealer and talk to them. I went and talked to them on Feb. 2nd. you may be a little late depending on the demand where you live.

Man, what a mess this whole thing is. I sent the form to be put on the waitlist right after the first 250 sold out. I called a salesman at my local dealer. He said he would get back to me in a few weeks and never did. Sent him an email last week, no response. Now I gotta try and get him on the phone. What a hassle.

I may just wait for a '23 at this rate. Good luck everyone! First post BTW
