Hello,

This may have been touched on already but why can't we always run the additional air ducks that the car comes with for brake cooling?

You can but highly advised against due to rocks and road debris that WILL get caught inside ultimately making its way to the rotor/caliper. Not good situation for a rock to grind a ring in your expensive rotor.

Front brake ducts are generally tucked up in the wheel well a bit because they will usually utilize cool air coming from a channel in the front bumper. Rear brake ducts don't usually have anything like that so they have to hang down a bit to collect air following under the car which results in what Evil said.

Also keep in mind that you can actually install the ducts and leave them up 100% of the time. You have to remove the rotor shield to actually make use of them as the shield is not slotted like the front is. You could probably slot the shield and install some kind of screen if you really wanted to run them all the time.

the screen thing is actually a pretty good idea
