Just bought a 2022 CT4V BW Auto, from carmax with 52.5k miles for $48k
Had all the options I wanted and was thrilled for the first few days.

It's been 6 days and I just had a PPI and am questioning returning the car for a few reasons:

1. Somehow I completely missed that the car is wrapped - I dont mind the color it's a sparkly white, but am concerned about the condition of the paint below it.
2. Found a rats nest in the air duct behind the cabin filter and there's rat poop throughout the whole engine bay. They've cleared eaten at the liner under the hood as well.

There are other mechanical issues like a strut leaking and the driver/passenger seat motors having issues (needs to be diagnosed) and the brake cooling ducts are broken. All of which I hope will be remedied via carmax.

Rear main seal is also leaking but cadillac said it's still under powertrain warranty and they would cover it for free.

Other than that I've loved the car, looks great, tons of fun to drive, and would love to keep it.

Any thoughts or any of you recognize the car/owner who would've wrapped it?

Thank you!

Dude, $48k for a BW with that many miles and a rat infestation sounds like a nightmare - I'd personally return it and find one that wasn't used as a rodent hotel.

I don't have experience with wraps, but I believe they should only be left on a few years otherwise they become difficult to get off. What's the real color of the car?

Hood liner and who knows what else was eaten, leaking strut, seat motors, cooling ducts broken and rear main seal? I think I'd move on at that price. At a minimum, everything would have to be fixed.

This is not the car for you. You will always wonder if you settled and should have waited the right car. Yes, waiting sucks. But you will be happier in the end if you do.

If the wrap is 4 years old it probably should be removed. If it was added later, what is it hiding? Why wrap a white car white?

Is it wrap or PPF? Im trying to understand why someone would wrap a white car, white?

The other issues would make me hit the eject button fast.

Hey! My white blackwing I just bought was also wrapped white! Had some matte white "PPF wrap" applied to it and I questioned the reasoning behind it myself but I suppose the previous owner wanted it matte and protected..? I bought a $300 steamer on amazon and took it all off in a weekend with incredible success and no headache, only a few small rock chips hiding under the wrap but that's to be expected on a four year old car. Your mileage may vary on removal and the quality of the paint hiding beneath it but you're not alone here haha
