2022 ct4v blackwing
Just picked up a 2022 ct4v blackwing with only 7200 miles. Got a CEL a week after driving it for an EVAP code. It's at the dealership being repaired for an EVAP system leak. It's been about 2 months and the dealership is on their 3rd repair. I'm remaining optimistic and I should get it back soon. Dealership first replaced the EVAP canister, then the purge valve and now onto a vent valve. I'm hoping this is the last time I have to go back and deal with this.

Update on the car: I got my car back from the dealership; check engine light came back on immediately. I decided to take the car to my cousins shop because I was sick of the dealership at this point. My cousin found the problem in less than 10 minutes; The purge valve connector wasn't plugged in.

This begs the question; was this the issue from the start? How did they go through 3 diagnostics without noticing? Was this gross negligence? Done on purpose? an innocent mistake?

I've always modified my previous cars and voided the warranties; had never dealt with the dealership before this. My cousin always worked on my cars. I decided that since I bought a car of this caliber I would maintain the factory warranty, purchase the platinum warranty and start using the dealership. This was my first experience with them and having the car gone for 2 months while they fumbled the ball left a bad taste in my mouth.

if this is a smaller local dealer, I highly suggest giving a high-volume BW dealer a shot. May just be worth the drive/tow
