Metallic Midnight Steel is a great color. That was my first choice but ended up getting the silver as I found one in stock with the tan interior and couldn’t pass it up.

So is there a confirmed cause and fix for this issue?

I would guess that’s not an issue anymore.

Definitely sucks. Even an OEM windshield takes months. I gave up and went with an aftermarket. Wouldn’t recommend it if you have HUD.

Appears some bumper disassembly will be needed as there are more screws/clips from the top. Each side has its own part number with the above being the right side.

Has anyone replaced one of these? Looks like it’s part number 84590904. Can it be replaced without removing the front bumper?

Finally got my cracked windshield replaced and washed it this morning.

Love the BW but I do miss the small light weight pocket rocket GTI.

Sadly it won’t be a manual since it’s gone after MY24. ☹️ I test drove the MK8 GTI a couple times and was a bit disappointed. Just didn’t have the magic of the MK7. Maybe I’ve been corrupted by the BW.
