Great way to put it. I daily mine and even having it go out on me, I’d still feel confident taking it anywhere across the nation at this point. Go drive it and enjoy it.
Pulls like a freight train and can’t complain. It is a bit lumpy, it feels like the motor mounts may already be slightly shot at 15k miles. And second gear when its cold feels grindy/crunchy. But it’s just stuff you kinda start to pick up and nitpick after you’ve been driving it for 15k miles.
I’m just saying what blew up my motor. Others may have different issues. Excess material blocking oil passthrus to the bearing. I physically saw the crank out of my car after they tore it down.
Howdy howdy. As the second person having a motor blow up on them (car and driver being the first) I figured I’d jump on this thread. Regarding the initial failures it was due to excess material in the crank causing an eventual blockage of one or more ports to the bearings causing an eventual...
Welp driving down the road and I’m now accompanied by this weird clicking/rattling noise coming from the rear of the car. Truly no idea what it could be. I tried getting under the car to see if maybe one of the panels was loose or something like that. You can hear it very faintly at 45 mph and...
As someone who worked in the luxury car sector for dealerships I can assure you that the interior inside of a new Mercedes is significantly worse than the Blackwing in terms of build quality. Sure they may have colorful lights for the interior lighting and a massive screen but everything that is...
I actually tried to ask them but they said because of the backlog of so many people waiting for their days there's pretty much no way I'd get a date that he could drive too.
I invited my dad but because I was the one who bought the car, he didn't want to pay for the experience to drive so he turned me down haha. Guess I need to be like you and buy myself 2 blackwings so he could drive
My alternator went out within 700-800 miles. I'd always just recommend taking it to the dealership but the issue is they're gonna hit you with ye old "cannot replicate".
Don't worry BlueBird. I felt the same way on the no lift shifts and everything. First gear to second is honestly really hard to get smooth if traction is on. I had the issue where it just bogged every time until I realized that traction control needed to be at least partially adjusted. For the...
To answer your question if you adjust the traction control to certain settings, it will open the exhaust. The pops and bangs won't be as prevalent but they will still be there. I had my car in tour and adjusted traction control and I hear the exhaust opening up. I personally enjoy them since...
I worked as a salesperson (not for Caddy) so I've seen the reasoning behind markup but at the end of the day it's just greed. Regarding the Plaid, absolutely. If you care about the acceleration of a car and the lack of maintenance, you won't beat a plaid. But if you care about a car being built...
The Plaids sold for 150k for all of a month. We had one sit on our dealership lot that we bought for 120-130k that we ended up selling for about 90k. We pretty much had to give it away for someone to take it. Yes the Plaid is going to be faster, yes the Plaid makes more sense from a maintenance...
I run these. Pretty darn great in snow mode with ice on the road. Obviously its a RWD car so you drive like a grandpa but with snow mode and it being a manual, one of the better RWD cars I've had in the snow. I run them both front and rear. They make a 275 for the front as well
