If you're not planning on carrying around a lot of passengers/cargo, they should be fine. The main issue is the lower load rating for the rear tires, hence the non XL designation.
So as I mentioned before, I was curious about the fact that these wheels are Mercedes spec and Porsche spec respectively, and wondered about whether that meant they had a different compound structure. I emailed Pirelli to find out and it turns out they do in fact differ, and Pirelli does not...
I know on the regular ATS, it was 5x115 but on the ATS-V it is 5x120, so I wouldn't be surprised if the regular CT4 is 5x115 while the Blackwing is 5x120.
@Mirza Grebovic What kind of wiggle room are we looking at in terms of offsets for new wheels, assuming I stick with 18x9s up front and 18x9.5s in the rear? I believe the stock setup is +28 in the front and +48 in the rear, correct? Also, I know the Blackwing brakes are quite a bit larger than...
I'm dropping my car off to get ceramic coated tomorrow, so I decided I'm going to put the car in Valet mode, to prevent any shenanigans. I was playing around with it, and it looks like all I can do is activate or deactivate it. So, with it activated, the max speed is set to 85mph. I'm not sure...
I wonder if there are any significant differences between the mercedes spec and the porsche spec sottozeros? Having two sets of tires might bother my ocd 😆
@Mirza Grebovic would running a square setup (255/35s) have any negative effects, other than a decrease in straight line traction? Or...
So I stopped into the dealer today just to just to say thanks, and to ask about the bronze wheels. The gift was totally a random thing, they got in some Blackwing swag and Tom figured I'd enjoy it so he sent it to me.
Hey guys,
So I just received a care package from my dealer along with a hand-written note. I'm not sure if this is the reservation bonus that was mentioned earlier, or if this is just something my dealer decided to do on their own, but I figured I'd share it with you guys (Don't mind the messy...
The manual will definitely be rare/hold value. Most other options don't generally hold value unless they are something that people feel they cannot live without.....I can't think of any offhand, since the 5 is pretty well loaded in stock form, perhaps one of the 5 buyers can chime in for that...
As a fellow NYer, I'm curious who your original dealer was. Also, I say let them find out on their own. If a manager can't be straight with you no need to extend them that courtesy.
Interesting that it shows the supplier discount as a possibility. This whole time I've been assuming that the supplier discount would likely not be valid on the blackwings, since the corvettes aren't currently listed as eligible (I figured the corvette is the only other "high demand" car that GM...
The dealer has been pretty straight with me this whole time, so I don't have any reason to believe he would be making it up. I have a feeling Cadillac wrote that originally intending to offer the steering wheel as standard on all trim levels (similar to how they originally were going to offer...
Guys, I just got a call from my dealer. He said that it was just relayed to him that the Performance Steering Wheel would not be a free option and that you would lose out on the VIN number plaque if you chose to order the Blackwing without the wheel. Needless to say I added the wheel onto my...
I didn't select the PDR option originally but your video has me on the fence now. The level of instruction it gives, like the "next right, track out further" .....how hard is that to set up? Is it automatic?
