    Wrapped roof?

For those with non-black cars, do you replace the shark fin antenna with a black painted one or wrap it? Easy to remove and reinstall?

How often do you have to replace the FOB battery

Still on my original fob batteries for my 22 5BW that’s 41 months old. I keep both in Faraday pouches when not driving, don’t know if that helps by killing any signal to the car and don’t know if this fob goes into sleep mode like some others do to save the battery. The 5BW is one of 3 fun...

    GM Extended Warranty

Yes, I knew about the purchase price tied to mileage and remaining months of factory warranty from the past purchases. For reference; I had about 8 months left, so maybe GM hasn’t started not allowing within the last 12 months yet and people need to take advantage, thanks for sharing. You...

    GM Extended Warranty

I purchased the 84/56 GMPP Platinum extended warranty for my 2022 5BW thru MacMulkin in NH as they were the least expensive. Used them before, same great service and easy to deal with as in the past. I’m within the last 12 months of my factory warranty and did not have to pay an inspection...

AUTO TRANSMISION AND CAR WASH MODE

“Technically” yes, and why they call it a “parking” brake 🙃. @Daniel Goss, thank you for sharing your story behind the post. Hopefully you can use the information I shared to help you get it sorted out to get all that nasty road stuff off your car. Cheers! 🍻

AUTO TRANSMISION AND CAR WASH MODE

I have a 2022 5BW and the 10sp automatic, and decided to see what the manual says for a car wash situation. I personally hand wash my 5BW and will never run it through a car wash, so never researched. Plus, I have the carbon fiber CF1 & CF2 packages installed, so I will not chance it. The...

    Anderson Composites vs..

Your welcome. I use the remote now, less convenient, but glad it power releases to open. I wish the factory had power close 😁 Happy holidays!

Here the OEM diffuser with the hole drilled from the factory circled in red.

    Anderson Composites vs..

Yes, I installed the OEM version and it has the hole drilled for the Cadillac light. I even reinstalled the sensor rods it uses to detect your foot and found out it wouldn’t work. Then after some research l, I found out the signal from the activation rods can’t penetrate real carbon fiber. So...

    Anderson Composites vs..

@Ergoc5 the signal for the kick to open sensor cannot penetrate the carbon fiber. The hole for light to shine is the same for CF and nonCF. This is why when ordering factory, they advise the kick to open will not work. I verified when I installed my rear diffuser.

    Front collision issue

When I researched, it stated it was a decal/overlay and I was concerned. Does it still state so in their description? It was the reason I went with the 404Parts. Savage is much cheaper as it’s a multi piece overlay setup. 404Parts is much more expensive, but it’s painted 1piece OEM with tinted...

Wanted Looking to trade 5BW calipers.

Another idea to throw out there- I have successfully used G2 caliper paint system twice on other cars. What I liked is that I didn’t have to worry about disconnecting the brake line and purging the brake system with the worry of moisture getting in the fluid, etc. I bought two kits as I jacked...

    Front collision issue

It’s the same emblem on 5V or 5 BW. 404 parts uses genuine...

    Jacking up your Blackwing

They were pushed up until they made contact with the pinch weld seam hanging down vertical. I’m not by my car, but memory is that a couple touched slightly until the pinch weld seam made contact. The black inner plastic of the side skirt will flex inward slightly until it touches the metal...

    Jacking up your Blackwing

Hey @Argent86, cool bolts but I haven’t used them, so not sure. I have the 14” 2 piece (7” each) and love them. I also have the solid 10” ones and swamp between them.

    Jacking up your Blackwing

Have had numerous cars with pinch welds to lift by and zero issue for me. I’ve used the universal ZL1 with floor pad adapter with zero issues on various cars over the years. (13 Explorer, 14 Mustang, 16 Z06, 17 Camaro ZL1 vert, 22 5BW) I finally bought and installed these ZL1 pads on my 22 5BW...

    Front plate

Just passed the three year mark with Sly Brackets and zero issues. In my area, they look for any reason to stop you and the lack of front plate is a convenient one. No issues on cooling during street/highway driving and I haven’t thought about it again and I could care less what people think...

    Totaled?

Wow, glad to hear you’re ok. I’m fairly sure they will say it’s totaled. When I had my car a part to installed all the CF1 & CF2 carbon fiber, highly doubtful the inner bracing of the body didn’t get bent up and not repairable. Nice to see all the air bags for protection. I’m also glad I have...

    Carbon fiber PN database.

There are no F Deflectors on non carbon cars. The non carbon cars factory black front splitter is smaller than the carbon one and at the end at the fender blends flush. On a carbon car, the front splitter is larger and sticks out at the ends to accommodate the F Deflectors. Without them, it...
