A Little-V Blog: The ATS-V purchase and ownership experience

Given that the new Camaro has a version of the ATS chassis and will definitely get a V8, I would assume that the V8 would fit in the ATS as well. My guess is that Cadillac wants to show case the V6TT in the ATS and, just maybe, the V6TT package gives them more flexibility in the Pirelli World...

    Regular Wheel Cleaning Question

I've been wiping down my wheels with a "detail wax" and that seems to help. Like you, I spray my wheels with Simple Green then wash with the soft brush. After drying the car, I put detail wax on the car and wheels. My detail was of choice is C-Magic. My Vette seems to have the same brakes...

    Open Road Racing

Just got back home from the Big Bend Open Road Race with the following observations: 1. BBORR has a limit of 160 vehicles. 2. Unofficially, there were 62 Corvettes in the race and only 3 CTS V's. 3. This is a 'run what you brung' "Time, Speed, Distance rally" and not really a "race". I can...

Is 58326 a good price for CTS 2015(2.0L Turbo AWD Premium)?

First, WELCOME to the V-Net! NADA says the "base" MSRP for the CTS 2.0T AWD Premium is 63065 with an Invoice of 59030. Depending on the options you select, the MSRP could be much higher than that. Try inputting the car and it's options in the NADA web site and see what they come up...

A Little-V Blog: The ATS-V purchase and ownership experience

Yes. It was in the paper this morning here and I saw something about the "bleeding" issue on line earlier. Seems Roger Penske got wind of this and flatly told his teams that they would not be messing with the tires. Then the news breaks that Ryan Newman's team was caught doing this. NASCAR...

Bout Time! Or is this an April Fools comment? Nanny Package - You can turn most of that stuff off. I found the lane excursion seat shaker annoying and turned that off as most of the 2-lanes I drive on around here are so bad I put 2 tires on the centerline all the time. Having half the seat...

Hi Hib, Susan and I have never used any navigation system other than the stuff GM puts in our Corvettes and Cadillacs. The CUE system works pretty well and has some features we like better then the older systems on our other cars. Street address entry is a little more time consuming on the CUE...

You can always "step back" to a standard ATS Premium or Performance with the 2.0 T and AWD and still have a nice ride. Save a few bucks also. We like our ATS 2.0T AWD. Then again we have the 427 Vette and the CTS V Wagon in the garage also.

CF - Do you (or Sandy) need the extra downforce on your ATS V for the driving conditions it's going to get? Do you plan to track it some? If the cool factor is enough, then spend the extra money. I'm sure you and Sandy know better than to use the nose as a curb feeler.

    Tires?

When I check TireRack for Run-Flats only and limit the company selection to just the tires I like, it appears that your only options are the Pirellis or Michelins. Turning all company's on, it adds Bridgestone and Dunlop to the selection. I like Michelins and the PS2 is a good tire. I don't...
