    2025 5BW updates

Pretty sure I saw the same color on a Chevy Bolt today. I think it’s called Ice Blue, a slightly ironic name for an EV.

PDR camera used as a front parking camera

As others noted, the angle is all wrong for parking. You won’t see anything different than you’re seeing from the driver seat. Also, the system isn’t designed to view live as it has to process the data off the can bus, overlay it to the video, and then write it to the SD card. The file is...

CT5-V Floor mats with red piping?

This is the window sticker from the car.

    Yes

    2025 5BW updates

I hope this is true. I’m still in for a 4 if it gets the updated PDR goodies.

    2025 5BW updates

I like the front end refresh and thought the Knight Rider effects with the lights was cool. The front lights finally look like Cadillac prototype race car. I really like the PDR updates, but the change to the Google platform likely means we won’t see any sort of backdating which is too bad. I...

Maybe they should consult with Joe Jacoby?

CT5-V Floor mats with red piping?

Anyone know the part number for these floor mats? I saw them in a post for a 20th anniversary car. And look, a red center rear belt!

    What’s next?

You’re going to need something a little bigger to tow a Blackwing. I’m doing more shopping for motorcycles at this point. Looking to trade in my 1250 GS on a 1300 GS. I’m also really intrigued by the new Royal Enfield H452 as something a little smaller and cheaper. That said, if the 4BW is...

GM Service Manuals - is the Blackwing version the same as the general CT5 version?

FWIW, the last thing I ordered off eBay that came with a CD was loaded up with nasty malware. I ended up flattening and reloading the machine I installed it on. They were supposed to be drivers for an OBD II interface.

I see a lot of people not liking the sunroof option

Adds a fair amount of weight at the highest point on the car, and takes away headroom that a lot of folks need - especially when wearing a helmet.

GM Service Manuals - is the Blackwing version the same as the general CT5 version?

If you go to Site Maintenance you can pay for a 3-day pass to access the actual service manual, then print to PDF what you need. I have no idea what is on that CD on eBay. In the FSM, the Blackwing is just another trim level with some specific options (e.g. brakes and LT4 motor).

    Alignment Advice

That also could be that the steering wheel was slightly off center. We are talking about 0.035 deg off center.

    CT4 on the Chopping Block?

I tried last year to order an SS 1LE, all the dealers had lists of folks waiting for an 1LE allocation. For a mostly track car that I could still live with on the street it was ~$15K more to go 4BW over SS 1LE.

    Corner Weight of a Blackwing

Yes, it is pretty much the YOLO build. No sunroof, with CCBs, M6, CF 1&2, top tier seats with CF backs.

    Corner Weight of a Blackwing

How much fuel? This was my buddies 4BW and my 5BW, both with full fuel.

    Finally, a good blackwing hat.

I had to go to the New Era web site to find a sizing chart for the 39THIRTY hat. Based on that, I ordered a S/M.

    The future Blackwing

It really is a track by track decision. As I recall, what killed it for Summit Point was when they* published standards for the equipment a fire department should have for fighting EV fires. It made no economic sense for the track owners to invest in that new equipment at this time, so they...
