I don’t know, my wife has a Camaro SS with the 6 speed and I would think it’s same transmission. Her car is smooth every gear even below zero temps. My BW needs some of the techniques from this thread to be smooth.
I stated this thread and appreciate the input from others. I have found with a few changes it’s 90 percent better and now really enjoying the transmission.
I purposely have been using second gear and that has helped and even question if it just needed to be exercised a bit.
The mid rang pops are very different from the high end when you let off. It’s a great sound and haven’t heard anything like it before. I laughed for what felt like a minute the first time!
1700 miles and in I love my 4BW 6 speed. The two personalities this car is my favorite part! One minute I can comfortably and quietly roll down the road with my seat massaging my back. In an instant with push of V it comes to life!
I was a little worried about coming from a 5 liter V8 in my...
Thanks all for feedback, felt better knowing it’s a known problem and ways I can work around it!!
Hit 1500 miles today and gave it the beans, love the crack and pop high in rev range!
Curious if others find second gear hard to engage compared to others? I grind second sometimes trying to get it in with clutch fully engaged. I think I have it and when I release clutch it pops out with a grind. Also have had a few cases where when I go second to neutral full clutch in it...
I looked at spacer for the 9 wide Arc8 and needed 5MM. Only had 5 turns of lug nut and decided to fix issue with wheel instead of studs and spacer. I personally prefer to stay away from spacer when I can

Yes fronts are different.
I thought I would be “smart” and pick a different wheel. I liked the Arc 8 and that was a bad choice. Arc 8 fits the front 18x9. Arc 8 18x9 doesn’t fit over rear caliper. I have Arc 8 in the front and Arc 7 in the rear.
Summary follow Novakin suggestion and don’t try...
Thanks Novakin for sharing your 4BW setup.
I copied most of it and suggest following his wheel suggestion as is. I tried something different and had to revert back to his suggestion.
Tires I am running Blizzaks 225 40 18 in front and 245 40 18 in rear.
