How many miles on the odometer at pickup?

Sewell uses dealerdoc.com and it was pretty painless. I had to sign a couple limited power of attorney docs to allow them to do the registration. I needed a dmv vin inspection (pro-tip: you just drive up to the drive-through and someone comes out and does it -- no cost and no appointment). The...

How many miles on the odometer at pickup?

Pictures from when it arrived at Sewell showed 3 miles. I think it was driven somewhere for a TX inspection and a fillup (I had onstar access by then and saw the fuel/range increase). It had 5 miles when it was unloaded from the transport in CA.

I never said elsd COOLER or elsd CLUTCH fluid, it's not clear to me how you've gotten so confused...

Yes, I changed the electronic limited slip DIFFERENTIAL fluid.

    Rear Diff Fluid

I changed my elsd fluid with the car backed up my ramps. Before draining, I took a piece of copper wire, bent 90° and folded some masking tape over it. I stuck this in the fill hole and then noted how far down the fluid was. I used a mityvac to fluid that didn't drain out due to the slight...

CT5-V Oil change for ct5V BW

I've been using the same motivx funnel since the LS1 in the SS Camaro I used to have.

Any way to retro fit the media knob on to MT?

I doubt it, the old volume knob is part of the center console display: I suspect if you connected an older console display to the appropriate CANBUS the knobs (and home button) would just work. All things equal I would like to have a volume knob. But the lack of it hasn't been a problem (and...

Ct5-V Blackwing precision pkg rear aluminum toe links

I've seen conflicting information about that (street alignment with V8V arms): shifts the range of possible rear camber about -0.4 degrees The "OEM" one gives you a range between a regular street alignment and a moderate track alignment. The Precision Package toe link gives you a range between...

    Fuse Panel Access

Motivx Tools makes a neat oil funnel that locks in place of the oil cap. I've used it with LS1, LS7, LSA, and LT4 engines. Works great!

Any way to retro fit the media knob on to MT?

I'm curious about this as well. I think it would be interesting to buy a "infotainment controller" and try connecting it to the appropriate CANBUS. I suspect it'll just work. (What I really want is a way to pause siriusxm via a button -- clearly the infotainment box cannot do this...)

    4BW Rear Differential Fluid

For whatever reason, rockauto doesn't know the 19418501 part number but 10-4131 is currently $42.79 + tax + ~$10 shipping. $46 from the dealer sounds like a reasonable price to me.

CT5-V What don't you like about your CT5-V Blackwing?

Interesting. The 2023 owners manual says: The 2025 owners manual does not discuss HD radio at all.

Maintenance at 1521 Miles Plus Some Other Questions

I changed engine oil at 500 and plan on changing engine oil and ELSD fluid at 1500 (even though I don't plan on much track use). I also submit oil samples to Blackstone Labs. (At 500 miles, as expected, copper and silicon were higher than average.) If you're not convinced break in changes are...

Of course. Or push the disengage cruise button on the steering wheel. None of it helps retrain my decades long habits.
