I know you disconnected the microphones, I assume the two up front as the one in the back seems like it’s a bit harder to manage.
Did that have any affect on the ability for people you call in hearing you?
You m probably going to have to disconnect mine too since in low gears and when...
I bought mine for n Nevada and had to register it in Cali. It was a bit of a nuisance. I had to get proof of taxes paid from the dealership and pay the difference.
I’m lucky though, I went in to the local DMV of my small town and it only took 15 minutes.
Mine came in as an order for someone that changed their mind. I swooped that bish as it was exactly what I’d been looking for/would have ordered myself (except it didn’t have bronze wheels). When I picked it up it had 5 miles on it.
Got mine installed last night and I dig it. I did notice that the driver side door puddle light has one very small part of the corner slightly blurred, but other than that they’re crystal clear. They were easy to swap, and I’ll be on the lookout for the v logo to be available since I’ve got the...
I shift to 2nd usually around 25 or above. I’ve been doing the double clutch method and it’s a helluva lot better. Once the car is warmed up it’s much less of an issue.
I’ve also been a lot less concerned about forcing it when it is sticky since starting this thread and seeing all the replies...
I don’t have a PDR unfortunately. The guy that originally ordered my car kept it pretty basic other than the color and the interior. I do have a dash cam, but it wasn’t turned on unfortunately!
My order for the door lights and the mirror lights just got shipped. I thought maybe it’s overkill, but it is a Cadillac, so maybe a little excessive accent lighting is fine.
What do you mean about let’s make a deal? I 100% plan on going to court, and I’m almost positive the CHP officer will be there as it’s a pretty sleepy county. I mean if I just explain that I sped when I passed him due to frustration from him cutting me off and only going 55 in a 65, what are the...
To each their own. I love the manual shifting personally. The early on clunkiness into 2nd gear is absolutely no sweat. I just wanted to make sure there wasn’t something wrong with my transmission. Everybody’s response here has made me feel a hell of a lot better about it!
Once again, I’m so...
That sounds like the best bet! It definitely loosens up once the car is warm. I never even thought about just skipping to third. I mean I’m only in second for less than a minute after leaving my home anyhow. Thanks for the tip!
No it doesn’t grind per se. But definitely takes force. All of the other gears never require that kind of force. I’ve googled it and I guess it’s pretty common, so I’ll stop worrying unless it actually becomes a problem.
That must be it then. It is definitely getting colder up here in the mountains.
How do you handle it? I don’t feel great about feeling like I’m forcing it. Does idling for a minute and doing some shifting in place help?
Yo folks. I’m a little over 8k miles and my gears are really sticky going from 1st to 2nd before the car gets warmed up. Just curious if anyone else is having an issue like that.
I don’t want to have to bring it in to the dealership if I can help it, but sometimes its really hard getting into...
That’s rough!
I got my first ticket in ten years just a couple weeks ago.
I was cruising up I-80 just past the speed traps East of Auburn, and this Explorer cuts me off by getting in the fast lane going 55mph. So frustrated, as soon as I could pass him I did so and punched it… well, it was a...
there is a thread where a guy shows step by step how he built an enclosure for a subwoofer for that extra space on the rear side of the trunk, and another where a guy shows how he built one replacing the floor of the trunk (similar to mine).
How easy any of it is depends on your expertise...

My guess is that because the Caddy has 16 speakers, that they’re all pretty small except for the 6x9s. So the amplifier used to push them is likely not very powerful.
The reason many people have found that fading the sound slightly to the rear of the car sounds better is probably because it...
