Hey Folks,

I hope this is the right thread. I’ve got a HORRID rattle occurring below 20-40mph and between 1800-2500rpm (nothing at idle, or faster, or any other kind of load). Everything in me points to a waste gate rattle but it just doesn’t sound like one to me.

I don’t know if it’s a crazy interior rattle or waste gate rattle or some sort of transmission rattle. I feel like the sound is more prominent in the back but honestly it fills the entire cabin.

The vehicle hasn’t had any other issues, has a jb4 running map 1 on 91 oct, nothing ever more done to the car. Some insight would be greatly appreciated 🙏🏼

If any other info is needed, would be happy to provide.

Seems like a motor or diff mount. Does it do it under load or de-accelerating?
While turning or braking?

I'd definitely look to get this investigated either at a shop or the dealership. If I had to guess, I'd say it's something in the driveshaft or differential areas.

Happens under acceleration in the listed mph/rpm range. doesn’t matter if turning or going straight. Set up an appointment with exhaust shop to take a look at it tomorrow and dealership on Thursday.

Make sure it's programed to the stock tune, disconnect the JB4 and take it to your Cadillac dealer.
