The Blackwing Spotting Thread

Black 5bw in Old Tappan NJ, Tuesday afternoon(I think). Parked by CVS in BiState Plaza.
Couldnt tell if it was a 22-24 or a 25/26.
Had bronze wheels I believe.
I think i saw it in OT a few other times as well.

Only other local 5BW I know of is out of Westwood(I'm in River Vale).

390 and Wood Dale road I keep seeing a Rift BW5. I know you see me in my Rift 4 because you stared straight at me turning onto Wood Dale during your 1-2 shift. God I love that sound.

Met you yesterday & your new '26 5BW at the Cars & Coffee in Fuquay. You here? Meant to give you my info but the rain made me run away. Wanted to talk to you further about the Soler BT Throttle Controller, the door puddle lights I have & the blackout sidemarkers.

I think this thread is a great idea. I really like the idea of connecting with other owners in person, but it seems like this thread (and maybe the forum as a whole) isn’t very active with other Blackwing owners in my area.

With that in mind, I’ve been considering printing some waterproof cards with a QR code that links people here. They’d be easy to leave on the occasional Blackwing I see around town.

Before I put in the effort, I wanted to get some feedback from the people who are active here. How would you feel if you found a card with a QR code and a short note about your car? And would anyone else be interested in having some cards too?

The only downside to that is there seems to be some recent warnings out about malicious QR codes. Might be a negative.

Yeah if someone leaves a QR on my car it's going straight to the trash. I'd recommended writing out the URL instead.

Any chance we can put a shorted URL to get redirected?

its much easier to type in: cadillacvnet.com/spotted instead of cadillacvnet.com/forums/threads/the-blackwing-spotting-thread.2515

Saw a black 2025 or 2026 parked at chase bank in Houston near the intersection of voss and San felipe in Houston on Wednesday.

Ok, not a Blackwing; let’s call it a Blackwing ancestor: a 2012 CTS-V wagon (this one had an automatic; it was modified to have over 600 HP). What could have been if we’d gotten a CT5-V Blackwing Wagon. Was at a neighborhood car show yesterday.

I'm not a "big car" guy.....but boy...this is one of my favorite cars. I am a wagon guy....and do so miss my 2001 Audi S4 Avant. I could see myself driving one of these. And if the CT4V BW came in a wagon I would be driving one now for sure (MT of course)....I so wish...

I've seen a few at local C&C & always drool over them. I remember I was instructing at an event at VIR ~10 yrs ago & a newbie brought his CTS-V MT wagon. I didn't have him as a student but made sure to meet him & give him a big thumbs up! If Caddy were to introduce a wagon BW, I'd put in an order IMMEDIATELY. IMHO, wagons are so under-appreciated in the US.
