Order Question

Guess the good news is that I can save more money. LOL
and the allocation is dependent on dealer size (for example, Sewell in Dallas is a high volume dealer and gets a lot of BWs, my small-town dealer gets 1 or 2 a year) and your build has impact.... non carbon fiber cars are easier to get allocations for

My dealer is small town too. I did ask for the carbon fiber 1&2 packages.

I'm glad I didn't get Carbon packages. Still looks good and much more friendly to speed bumps and entering/exiting parking lots. I've had a lot of low cars in the past and I enter those things at an angle without thinking about it. Unless you plan on doing a lot of track time I've come to think it is not worth it. My first car I ordered was Carbon 1&2 and the car I finally got I'm glad I didn't. Its also a lot easier to get the car you want if you don't go for C1 & C2

On the 5s, that black rear spoiler looks a lot better than the stock painted one, but I think you can order one (might not be carbon) on the 5BW in the options; I could be wrong.

Just for clarification, allocations aren’t “pre-configured”. If carbon or any other option is not available at that time from the factory, no dealer can configure the allocation with those options, no matter their size.

And most Cadillac dealers will never get a Blackwing allocation offered to them from the factory.

They can take your order, but if they are a small volume dealer, they will never be able to match it up to an allocation and your order will sit a 1100 forever.

Best strategy is to place an order with as many local Caddy dealers as possible to play the odds. Deposits, if required, should be refundable. All sales should be no higher than MSRP these days.

I passed on two allocations that were offered to me because options I wanted (CF2 and paint color) were each constrained. Third time was the charm. I had orders in with 10 dealers within a 50 mile radius.
