2025 CT5-V Blackwing
Getting ready to place an order for a BW5. Was able to test drive one with "mid" seats, which were comfortable, IMO. Not a lot of BWs on lots close to me so unable to do any back to back with the base or SA seats . Realistically, car usage will be daily driver and road trips (have 72K mi on the 19 Charger Hellcat I'm coming from) . As the title says, which seats are the most comfortable for this use case? My search here revealed, as might be expected, a diversity of opinions.

Not a scintillating first post, I realize. 😃

I got the standard seats and they are fine. I had an ATS 4V (forerunner of the CT4 BW). It had the racing seats. I didn’t like them.

I love the higher tier semi aniline seats…have other cars and SUVs, and they are my favorite, most comfortable for me, even longer drives

In my experience well-built leather seating is produced a bit stiff knowing that the leather and upholstery underneath is going to break in over time. I've been somewhat uncomfortable initially in many cars and couches only to have it eventually fit me like a glove and be one of the most comfortable places to plop down into. Just my $0.02.

Blessed to have found a 2025 5 Blackwing with the precision package, manual transmission. It has the base seats, can I swap them out upper tier seats ? I realize it will be hard to find the seats. I have seen previous year model seats on Ebay.

Suggestion. Check with a custom automobile upholstery shop. They might be able to modify your seats.

Got my car August 11 th., Took time this afternoon to adjust the seats, then went out on a curvy back country road. I have the base seats, they are great I traded in a 2024 ZO6 for the blackwing, it does have the precision package. The base seats are close to the vette seats, I bought this car used, I would advise anyone building the car to save money skip the high priced seats.

Depends on how long a person keeps a car. Based on my character and track record, it’s reasonable to say I will have this car for 10 years. In that case the CF backed seats cost me less than $2 a day. They are great seats and I smile when I see the CF, it’s beautiful and spices up the interior. To each their own, if the $$$ is there, go for it!

I have the sky cool gray with alcantara backs on my 2024 5BW. I think that makes them "mid". I did a 4500 mile road trip in June and had 1 day of over 1000 miles, another of 900 miles, and several others over 600 miles. They were absolutely superb and I had zero discomfort at any point. One of the "good" things about the tiny gas tank is you do have to get out of the car ever few hours so that helps.
