    Companion to BW

I was an investigator for the Senate Armed Services Committee doing space warfare stuff at Air Force Space Division/Aerospace Corp etc - I had a very law enforcement looking badge and cop also recognized and noted the Space Division pass on my car and surmised I was some kind of spook. He told...

Generally true....back in the 80s I used to commute from Hollywood (Los Feliz) to El Segundo and I never took the Freeway. I did get stopped once by a motorcycle cop on La Cienega doing 75 in a 35. He totally let me go after seeing my ID. LOL. Freeway driving can sometimes be exciting ...I've...

I disagree. There are all kinds of mountains around LA with wonderful driving roads and tolerable traffic levels. LA proper - freeways and surface streets - I get your point.

I get why you went with the Vett for the track...but I think your comment about the BRZ (and similar) is spot on. Many folks (supposed driving enthusiasts) just don't seem to get it. A few months ago I was having some car talk with some of my son's friends. He drives a modded first gen Scion 86...

    Companion to BW

A good friend of mine recently bought a regular Ionic and there is a lot to be said for it. Still....you being in Minnesota...I wouldn't think an EV is your best choice for winter. I'd recommend something like a Porsche Macan, Jaguar F-Pace or Alpha Stevio...all of which are reportedly great...

Did you do or are doing V academy

I was recently talking up the car to a neighbor and explaining all the really cool features it has (that I will never use) such as line lock...LOL. I've never even used launch control or no lift shift though I've been meaning too....some day...

I get it. Its a beastly car and I would love it. But for me some ridiculously fast Lotus or small Ferrari would be more my bucket list. A few years back my shop put the Audi 2.7 L Bi-turbo from an S4 into one and they said it was one of the fastest best handling cars they had ever encountered...

Well I'm too old and arthritic to be getting in and out of a go-cart these days...but yeah. A bunch of years ago a neighbor who was an SCCA instructor was doing an autocross class and invited my son and I up to drive the course after class. My son was able to run it in a cart and did have a...

Well I am actually. But when all my friends were into muscle cars - I was more into Fiats, Aphas, Triumphs, MGs and such. But not being so mechanically inclined my 2 seater ended up being a supercharged MR2 in 1989. I've certainly spent time in friend's GTOs, Javelins, Chargers and the like back...

I was never a V8 guy....not that I don't appreciate them and wouldn't mind per se....just I tended to be into smaller cars - so mostly 4 cylinders...lol. One big exception for me was my 2001 Audi S4 Bi-turbo (stage 3)....and boy was that a beast of a car....took down one of those older AMG 63s...

I hear you. No doubt the 5 BW is more "special" in numerous ways...but for me even the 4 BW is almost too large (and certainly too heavy) of a car...but in these time it is what it is. Still each hits the mark in so many ways that speak to enthusiasts as well as those who just appreciate...

Thanks for posting. This was great fun to watch. All are great cars from a great era and are on par and deliver better driving experiences than most "performance" sedans or equivalent today (which mostly are now SUVs). That being said the CT4V BW is a better all around car and a better...

Very interesting list. Kudos to Cadillac with 4 of the 10...though I do question the Celestiq a bit. Is it for the audacity of charging $360K+. I'm sure they have reasons for all of these picks (beyond even the little bit here). Glad to see both Blackwings get their due as well as the CTS-V...

    I sold my Mk6 Golf R....

Great color combo....Green with the bronze wheels. You will really enjoy the V Academy. My wife made me promise to get rid of my MK VI GTI to get the CT4V BW....well I never said when I'd get rid of it (not for a while I hope)....both are great fun cars to drive...
