Mine also had the black badge/emblems in the trunk, uninstalled

Didn't catch it until the car was on transport, will have them out on when I bring the car in for it's first oil change.

That's interesting, do they go above the PPF? I am still debating if I am going to PPF this car, visually they always bother me, might just do ceramic and window tint and call it a day.

Remove old badges-->paint correction/ppf--> apply new badges on top of (above) ppf

You shouldn’t see a full PPF unless you are looking really hard for it. A reputable shop will wrap or tuck it where it can’t be seen. If you only do half the front that’s a different story. I have to get it done where I live/drive.

Hmm not sure how I feel about that but hey it's your ride! Did you have the intention of going stealth when you ordered the car? I feel it takes away from the color's brilliance.

Yeah wanted stealth to protect from kids and have less frequent washing. I’m thinking the LEDs make it seem washed out. Let’s reasses in natural light after the ceramic. To me, it looks just like BMW’s Frozen Portimao Blue.

Curious about your feeling on the interior PPF. I asked my PPF guy about stealth PPF on the screen and gloss for the carbon (just the center console, I don’t have the carbon seats). But my guy was very reluctant on interior PPF. Basically he said use a screen protector for the screen (like a phone screen) and don’t worry about the carbon because it’s got a pattern that won’t really show scratches. He seemed concerned about removing the PPF, esp the screen. I haven’t noticed any glare from the screen so I just left it naked

If you don't mind me asking what shop in the Atlanta area is doing the PPF/Ceramic/Tint?

Well, I definitely wouldn’t have if young kids weren’t going to be in the car. Google says stealth PPf on screen is a good option. I feel like it won’t get baked into the screen by the sun but yes a screen protector is probably a good option. My installer does it often especially on BMWs. Xpel has a pattern for the interior CF trim. I had the dealer remove the CF seatbacks because PPF installer said it would be too much water for install inside the car.

Could they not PPF the seatbacks while they weren't in your car and then remount them?

... And if not, couldn't you have left the CF seatbacks in the car and not PPF'ed them? They'd look great, protect the back of the seats from your kids, and probably not even get damaged.

My PPF guy said he would rather install PPF when pieces are on the vehicle than off. I'm sure its because its difficult to hold the pieces in place while applying the PPF. I had tried to take him a CF rear spoiler and front splitter and he told me to install them first.

Good thing the other 199 will look just like each other! And in ten years, I can go to gloss too. In person stealth helps the metallic shine through because it’s not overwhelmed by the gloss clear coat.

I made it simple and said if it’s carbon, protect it. He wanted seatbacks off because of how much water was needed to wrap them.
