Yes I heard directly from him that he left Sewell on Monday.Has anyone else heard that the Blackwing King has moved on from Sewell Cadillac of Dallas?
Wait, what. I was talking to James Black Cadillac a couple weeks ago and they said a new body is coming in 2027.we've reached the end of the line for BW's.![]()
But not in BW trim, though they say it "should" be back in a few model years.Wait, what. I was talking to James Black Cadillac a couple weeks ago and they said a new body is coming in 2027.
@SIX 40 ...I still love your car! Great color combo! Glad to hear it's been good to you.
I don't remember the source, but GM did confirm there will be a replacement 5BW, but 4s are end of production in June.@rubberduck ...there are multiple articles about the "next gen" CT5 due 2027, but I can't find them quickly. This from "The Drive" pretty much sums it up:
"Cadillac has confirmed that there will be another internal-combustion CT5 for the American market at some point in the future. But no such promises have been made about the CT4, the manual transmission, or the Blackwing performance variants."
IIRC it was GM Authority who said there is a replacement. The National Enquirer of car rags.I don't remember the source, but GM did confirm there will be a replacement 5BW, but 4s are end of production in June.
IIRC 5s will end production at the end of 2026
I think even that is being generous.IIRC it was GM Authority who said there is a replacement. The National Enquirer of car rags.
a few or a couple... a couple i could get in line for..But not in BW trim, though they say it "should" be back in a few model years.
The world is uncertain, so no telling what the future holds for a replacement. They have a good thing going, but will there be a sedan market left to support gen 5 V? China is flooding their domestic market (and the world) with cheap EV's and national pride is converting a lot of would be caddy buyers to BYD and similar. Without China, I don't think there would be a CT5 after 2026.a few or a couple... a couple i could get in line for..
So, more like BMW then…I'd bet the 2027 CT5 is going to put an emphasis on multiple-energy propulsion like the new Charger (full EV, hybrid, and 100% ICE all on one platform) as a hedge against an uncertain sedan market. I think the result will be more weight and less pure driving dynamics
