Welcome to the Cadillac V-Series Forums!

No King?

Bobby Korom at Sewell San Antonio might be able to take up the slack. I've bought both of my BWs from him and he's The Blackwing Guy at that location.

I know that he posted a couple of years ago about leaving Sewell to become a day trader, but then went back to Sewell. He sort of painted himself into a corner with that title, so it seems like a good jump off point since we've reached the end of the line for BW's. 😉

Wait, what. I was talking to James Black Cadillac a couple weeks ago and they said a new body is coming in 2027.
But not in BW trim, though they say it "should" be back in a few model years.

That is correct, I got the email from one of the other sales associates at Sewell on Monday too. I got the message because I have an order at 3400 status with a TPW of 1/19. That's right, after 4 (or is it 5?) years I was finally able to get an order accepted with my preferred spec.

Sadly, after all this time I have decided to keep my M5. It has been al but flawless over the past 4 years (ahem, except for an oil leak 😂) and is still tight as a drum. I had the Carbahn monoball kit installed in the thrust arms up front and steel toe links in the rear for better road feel. It's like my own precision package and it's a tremendous improvement. My factory warranty expires this month so I have purchased a BMW Platinum warranty that extends me another 3 years. There will be a loaded Drift metallic coming down the line soon with every option except for the sunroof (and slushbox, duh). MSRP will be about $146k per my calculations. I don't know if Sewell has a list of clients that they're offering it to but if anyone purchases a Drift with Sky Cool grey semi-aniline seats (with carbon back delete) post it up here!

I'll still be lurking and posting here on occasion. This is still one of my favorite car forums to visit. PFA!

@rubberduck ...there are multiple articles about the "next gen" CT5 due 2027, but I can't find them quickly. This from "The Drive" pretty much sums it up:

"Cadillac has confirmed that there will be another internal-combustion CT5 for the American market at some point in the future. But no such promises have been made about the CT4, the manual transmission, or the Blackwing performance variants."

@SIX 40 ...I still love your car! Great color combo! Glad to hear it's been good to you.

Thanks, man! I think the plan is keep this as the family car till our twins (hopefully) head to college in 2 years. Then get a Corvette or something. Or maybe the LCI M5 Touring. Or whatever Cadillac cooks up for the BW replacement. Or maybe a Golf R if they drop the RS3 motor in it. Like most of us, I’m all over the place. 😂

I don't remember the source, but GM did confirm there will be a replacement 5BW, but 4s are end of production in June.
IIRC 5s will end production at the end of 2026

IIRC it was GM Authority who said there is a replacement. The National Enquirer of car rags.

oh excellent. I remember not being able to find other sources citing the info and it was the only source.
I did not know GM Authority was seen so highly. It wasn't a source I had read from prior.
