Hi All,

Ordered my 2nd blackwing and I will be using it 70% daily 25% spirited 5% track driving. I like having a tight and well setup car but also care about the ride. I am willing to give up 5-10% of the ride quality for more better chassis and precision.

My Question -
For those of you who have gotten the Precision Pack - Is it much bumpier? Or is a very slightly more bumpier and still worth having over the "base" suspension.

I have a PP car and have not driven a non-PP car to compare. But what I can say is that I do not find the ride harsh in Tour mode. It certainly gets very stiff in Track (with Sport in the middle).

My wife is probably a good indicator that the PP ride (in Tour) is quite fine. She hated the ride in both my GT350 and my Golf R. But has zero complaints about my BW.

My personal opinion on the PP package is that it depends on whether you are interested in the CCB. That is half the cost. So if you like spirited driving and would get the CCB anyway, then the PP is a worthwhile option box to check.

Very much agree with all of the above. Have a PP car that I've put around 8000 kms on last summer and fall, half of those with my wife in the passenger seat. No complaints at all. Ride is definitely firm, even in Tour, but never harsh. Track is very firm/stiff.

I wanted CCBs anyways and will get to the track a few times this summer, so for me PP made sense.

This is great- do the wife’s daily normal comfortable vehicles? Just want to make sure their baseline isn’t a gt3rs or a c8 z06 lol

My wife has had a Passat, a Tiguan and now a Model Y as her daily; all three were/are comfortable rides but on the firmer (or should I say buttoned down) side - far from z06 though lol

I started with a ‘25, standard suspension and iron brakes, tech bronze wheels. Ride was quite good, was never as good as what I have read online here. No complaints at all but I was expecting more.

Changed to a ‘26 with the PP that came with the 2Rs. Ride really didn’t seem that much more harsh - I expected worse but in a lot of conditions it is almost the same. What it dials out (in my opinion) is the wobble or bit of uncertainty with lateral transitions. On the ‘25 there was frequently a brief moment where you wait for the car to take a set when changing directions. That doesn’t really happen on the PP equipped car.

Heading into winter I swapped on a 275 square winter tire setup on tire rack cast wheels and Ti lug nuts. Car rides better than the ‘25 set up that way IMO.

LOL. I wish my wife wanted one of those. She likes crossovers. Currently a CX-30 and previously a Santa Fe. She does like speed so both were turbos but otherwise not super exciting.

I'll see myself out.

I don't get PP if you're worried about how harsh the ride might be. They are only making a limited number of PP units. Save that one you're thinking of buying for someone who's seriously going to track days more than 5% of the time.

Cadillac uses the phrase "extremely limited availability"

Maybe in the beginning when they only offered Cup2R tires and those were scarce. Michelin seems to have figured out production and Cadillac allows you to switch to PS4S tires.

I don't think tires were the problem. The 285 and 305 don't all meet the TPC.

Based on your usage split, I'd say go for it since the PP really helps with that lateral precision during spirited driving and most people say it's not that much harsher in Tour mode.
