Belt shreded

2022 Ct5v BW : Was driving yesterday, heard a sound i could describe as driving drown a dirt road, little ticks hitting the bottom of the car then battery light went on and car was starting to overheat, pulled over and my cooling belt was shredded , i was entering the highway doing about 45 put it in v mode , didn’t step on it i was accelerating normally when it happened. When i pulled over i saw that coolant was also leaking from the undercarriage passenger side I’m assuming just from the over flow because the car was overheating, has anyone had any issue like this??

Side note: when i looked under the car at the coolant leak i noticed the shear plate was shredded at the jack point on both passenger and driver side not sure if it’s from previous owner , it was a old gentleman who had it i have attached pictures let me know if anyone has seen anything like this as well

I’m thinking possibly maybe someone used a lift wrong and had somthing get stuck idk lol

Thankfully, I haven't had any issues so far, and I hope you get your results ASAP with as least amount of frustration as possible. I'm glad you pulled over and timely manner and looked into it in a detailed fashion.

My guess is a tow truck driver put the chain hooks in the plate instead of the holes in the frame.
