Summarizing it briefly:
I had posted an ad of bronze wheels wanted for a CT4 BW. Some time later I received a message from Trojan2029 saying he had a buddy here on the site that had a set he'd be willing to sell. He said the person was xxxxxxxx on the site and that his email was xxxxxxx. Searching on the member's name on the site I read what he'd posted, so I knew the actual member's history as presented on our site. I emailed the supposed selling member directly who sent pictures of bronze aftermarket wheels. I replied I was really looking for OEM wheels. He replies that he knows someone (a woman) that has a set of OEM bronze wheels. That was too coincidental and was the first red flag. I continued the conversation playing dumb and asking questions. His answers and story was not matching the history of what the actual member had said about himself on our site, so more red flags. I asked him to call me and gave him my number. When the person called, it sounded to me to be a younger male of Indian background based on the accent. The actual member had said he was in his 70's. Again playing dumb, I continued the conversation and then confronted him on all these contradictions in his story, which is when he hung up. This all played out over a couple weeks, which would contribute to him not being able to keep his story straight when he probably has different stories going on all over the place if he's a professional scammer.
