window tinting Blackwings....

3M carbon fiber wrap. Came out perfect ! I also did the rockers and some other parts on the front and decklid. Looks like real "expensive" CF that I don't have to worry about. PPF guy charged me $800 for everything he could do. Going around curves is very difficult not to distort it.
Thanks,it looks great.

I did 30% and 70% on my BW. Ceramic tint with the lighter one on the windshield.

I have an electric blue ct5 black wing and got 35% tint all around and 70 on the windshield. Worse mod ever to the car and it looks much worse with the tint than without it.

Reason is that the 5BW already has a large green house and the tint exaggerates this look and makes it look bloated and less aggressive. Also the supposed heat rejection properties are minimal at best even with Xpel prime ceramic they used. You’d be lucky to have a few degrees difference if you really measure and I certainly didn’t notice much difference. The car was hot either way.

Do you still regret the tint? Or have you come to like it?

I also have an EB 5 w/ similar specs (graphite wheels, CF wing) and was gonna get mine tinted too but this post is giving me cold feet. Not that I think your car looks bad- it's the regret part. Was sure I wanted it done but now I'm waffling and second guessing.

Damnit!!!!! Now I'm laboring over the tint vs no tint decision more than I did about the paint color decision.

I had a little different take, I tinted the rear half of the car only, 20% Xpel ceramic. Tinting the front doors is illegal in NJ.

Also IMO tinting the windshield is really dumb. Do you wear sunglasses at night? If it's a UV or IR thing, they make clear (or nearly clear) tint that will solve that issue, but not affect nighttime visibility.

Considering doing the same since I'm in NJ too. Does it ever look odd in brighter lighting? In that pic it def looks good, didn't know if the cloudy day was minimizing anything. I don't want it looking disconnected

Otherwise I'd do 35-50% all around. I know that's still illegal but hopefully lighter is less noticeable and still enough to block the light for my son in the back seat

35%

Where in SJ are you? I'm in NW Burlington County...send me a PM if you want to see my car in person before deciding.

To my eye it looks good, perhaps because we see so many SUVs on the road with the same tint layout...dark in back but clear in front. I've done the same tint layout to other cars in the past for the same reason you state...to keep the sun from affecting the kids in the back seat. Here's my BW and some of our prior cars with rear-only tint:

Thanks dude, I'm in Deptford but work in Moorestown so pretty close to both. Maybe I'll take you up on that

Half tint sounds like it wouldn't look right, but in any of your pics or the cars I see around here it looks totally normal/natural

20% all around except 50 on windshield
