CT4-V What Don't You Like About Your CT4-V Blackwing

Cadillac CT4-V model
Not a fan of the giant wing and would love to see an aftermarket solution. Maybe something more low profile that covers the holes where it bolts down.

I don’t think the wing is that big. Maybe have it painted body color so it’s a little less obvious?

The wing is still subtle, but I just like the flow of the side profile without the wing. Think it would create better synergy with the front IMO.

My take on the wing is that I cant see it at all in my rear view so I dont even think about it. On my SS, it had a smaller wing and I could see 100% of it all the time. So by that metric, this wing is tanglibly smaller. If your issue is with external aesthetics, I get it, but honestly I think its the least offensive issue with the rear end...talkin those Beluga Whale vibes

I agree. I think the best part of a CT4 BW rear is the carbon spoiler. I liked the standard black but the carbon just looks like art.

Just a couple nits to pick so far:
  • The manual says opening just the rear windows can create a pulsing sound. I thought it would be annoying but whatever. Actually it's super loud. I don't know if the ANC system gets involved but it's definitely not something most could stand.
  • I will need to get calibrated to an SUV-sized turning radius. It's making my 90 degree turn into the garage a harrowing experience for now.
  • If you're an Android user, Android auto is a bit finicky. The Maps directions were incredibly quiet compared to music. I had to find a post on an RV forum of all places that said Maps directions have their own volume in Android auto and you can only adjust it while it's saying something. The Maps test sound works well to adjust it to your normal listening volume. This was after I had to enable/disable a bunch of settings just to get the notifications and directions to play on the car and not the phone. But now that things are setup it's a fairly well designed system and I don't know how much I'll need to leave it for the "native" apps.
  • With the big badonkadonk of the CT4 comes an almost Camaro-like amount of rear visibility. Nothing extreme but it will take a bit to get used to.
  • This is in the manual sort of. If you want to connect a USB drive for music, it can't be exFAT which is the default format most drives come in these days. It has to be NTFS, HFS+, or if it's tiny FAT32 per the manual. Not sure why it keeps wanting to reindex most days, but with an SSD it doesn't take long and you can still play music while it does. I spent a bit wondering why it wasn't recognizing anything attached until I went back to the manual. For those with PDR it's extra confounding because the PDR card MUST be exFAT. Subcontractors- what can you do?
  • Staying within break-in limits for 1500 miles is going to be a special kind of torture. But that's a me problem I guess. ;)

If you play music on USB on Random (Shuffle), it randomly drops Random. 😏

Navigation volume is in the manual. But I didn't find it until after a trip that I used it. Maybe it's different for Andriod maps.
