I feel like the hybridization/electrification are going to make performance numbers as we know them much less important (or impressive). So having a "special" car may not mean having the fastest car any longer, but rather one that connects with you in other ways. A big part of the appeal of a car like a Blackwing to me is the mix of modern luxury and comfort with the analog brutality of a performance tuned ICE. See also the Lexus LC 500.
