V-Series Cadillac(s)?
2024 CT4-V Blackwing
Today I took delivery of a new 2024 CT4-V Blackwing "Impact Edition". I bought it from out of state and when it arrived today I was surprised to see it didn't have the suede headliner and pillars. You would think with a $22K option package that would be included. Certainly not the end of the world, the standard one is fine, I just wasn't expecting to see it.

As a follow up, I called Cadillac customer service and they are looking into this for me. Seems to me that if it has the upgraded seats, the suede package is included. Can anybody tell me otherwise? I'll have a follow up within 3 days, hopefully with a scheduled visit to my local dealer to have everything swapped over.

Thanks vagabond, I knew something was off. Interesting that this was able to slip past the system and not only that, obviously the dealer didn't even realize it either. Hopefully they make it easy and just tell me when I can drop it off to be swapped over.

Almost 2 months and no resolution. Cadillac really has about the worst customer service I think I have ever experienced. If somebody can correct me by all means, but I see no way in the world where a special edition car with all the options would come with the standard headliner and pillars. The sales manager has the district manager involved but just today he told me that their might not be anything they can do. WTF, they can build a car with the wrong parts and then just say "oh well". While the car itself is great, I'm just completely miffed at how long this company is dragging out a clear mistake and then on top I should probably expect them to do nothing. Not a great start to my first Cadillac experience to say the least, but I feel a little better now that I was able to vent for a minute.

I'm not sure how strongly you feel but, it may be time to lawyer up.

Below is what the Sales Manager at the dealership just sent me, after I told him I know for 100% fact that my car should have the suede package included. Again, WTF Cadillac, why are you making me go through all this BS when clearly you are in the wrong? I bought this car out of state, so before I go another route, I'd like them to at least tell me they aren't going to do anything and then I will pursue other avenues. Just sad that a company can't admit to a mistake and fix it.. The district manager even told the sales manger they don't have a part number for the suede parts. Are you kidding me? Thank the lord the engineers made such a great product because so far the customer service leaves A LOT to be desired.

Everything that I have seen says the same thing as well (with suede headliner and pillars) and still do not have an answer otherwise. I am still pushing as far as I can.

Money’s on mucking about bc they can - you purchased out of state. Work with a different, local Cadillac dealer you love and trust for service. Check in with multiple dealers and parallel work this if you don’t have a relationship like this already - you’ll eventually build one.

Wow, thanks a lot guys for all the suggestions. I could only wish Cadillac was as responsive as all of you! I'm following up with the dealer on Monday and if this is still not going anywhere, I'll start down some of those other avenues.

I am guessing that the best case scenario is that Cadillc/GM sends you to an upholstery shop to have it custom made and you send them the bill.
They have alot on their plate with those 6.2 engine recalls jammed down their throats. It won't be a good stock market year for them.

I'm now currently working with somebody higher up that I hope can help me. He just sent me the below email, so I'm waiting to hear what he comes back with and I will update this post with his response.

Hi David-

I am sorry to hear of this situation but am happy to help. Let me do some research on this and I will get back to you quickly.

Thank you,
