I know a few had asked about this and I don’t know how many people get their emails but it appears there is now a Level 1 type V class available. They had mentioned that they were trying to convince GM to give them more cars to do Level 1 and 2 advanced classes and it seems they may have had partial success.

The price for original V owners seems extremely discounted. From what I gather there is only one set of dates available. It seems the discounts are only good for people who purchased their cars in the past year? Not sure why - maybe they are using the money GM pays for a base class for all owners as a credit?

Original email:
We have released new dates!! Please keep in mind that seats are FILLING FAST!! Please EMAIL me ASAP if you’d like to get locked into one of these dates. There is no need to email me if the date you want is not included on this Calendar!

Below you will find an available list of dates. As stated above, please make sure to email in. You will need to have your VIN available at this time.

Below you will find the answers to most, if not all, of your questions.

As always, we look forward to having you out! I am excited to get you booked!

Please include your preferred car/transmission type. Not all types will be available for all dates.

DATES:

7/13-14

As the Official High Performance Driving School of Cadillac, you will receive first-class instruction in current model Cadillac Blackwings. The cost of the two-day Level 1: Intro to Open Lapping program in a Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is $5245.00 and the CT4-V Blackwing is $4045.00.

If you are a new Cadillac V-Series Blackwing owner and meet all requirements, you may be eligible to receive this two-day school for $1745.00 (CT5-V Blackwing) or $545.00 (CT4-V Blackwing) plus two included nights of accommodations. You must be the first retail owner or lessee of a new and unused V-Series Blackwing model and you must have taken delivery of your car to participate. The certificate is not transferable, only one owner per VIN, and you must have taken delivery of the car to book the school. The certificate is only good for one year from the date you took delivery of the car.

Our Intro to Open-Lapping program takes the Cadillac V-Performance Academy to the next level, focusing less on vehicle electronics and more on universal car control and cornering techniques. You’ll experience even more track time and an introduction to open-lapping, learning how to safely and properly pass other drivers without instructor guidance.

The goal for all levels of our school is to provide an exciting and educational, adrenaline-charged program. Through a dynamic series of car control exercises and maneuvers, we have developed a curriculum that will help you learn to process information quickly and accurately – the most important skills in the high-performance environment. Our step-by-step program integrates the exercises and maneuvers to coordinate eyes, hands, and feet providing you with a baseline for car control that will have you balancing your car with confidence and finesse. All of our Cadillacs are equipped with two-way radio communications providing constant contact with our team of instructors.

Yes I got it as well and wasn't clear on exactly what was being offered. I'm going to the "original" 2 Day class in early September.

So I got some clarification from SM, if you went to the intro BW class and wanted to go to this new class it would be at the cash price minus a $300 discount for returning student. It would only be heavily discounted if you used your entitlement to go to this class instead of the intro class. Hope that helps.

Yup - exactly what I suspected.

It's odd because I figured the basic class would be some sort of required prerequisite for this as it would help them filter people based on skill. ie. they wouldn't want people who were running 1:40+ in the basic class paired with people running in the 1:20s and below on a more advanced course as it could take away from the experience of the more advanced drivers.

They told me the same. Wish this was offered before doing the regular V-Academy. I forget the exact time but was 1:20s and in the fastest group with CT5s. No regrets though. Wife and I made a fantastic vacation out of the trip.

For those able to go and haven't used the intro academy definitely take this opportunity. $545 is peanuts for the experience. Good luck everyone!

I got a VM from Kim as well as an email.

@nix6speed I think you misread; the unsubsidized class is $5,245.

If you do level 1 in lieu of the base class, it's $1,745. It sounds like you need to meet "the requirements", whatever those are (probably proof of track experience).

I meant pricing for CT4s. There's a few of us peasants around!
