2025 CT4V BW MT
2025 CT4V BW MT, stock. My left rear tire continues to have a slow leak. Fortunately, my Miata has a pump so I can fill it from time to time. Clearly something going on. I've never had a car w/ run flats, is this a fixable thing or do I need a new tire?

As long as the hole is not close to the sidewalk then any tire shop can fix it. Recommend patch and plug for best results. Note you are not supposed to track on a patched tire.

Set an appointment with discount tire online, or you can also look into visiting additional local and reputable tire shop options.

Good luck and hope it all works out for you. Happens with the best of us.

It depends on the cause. It could be a puncture where patching depends on location and wear, or the valve stem.

Make sure they do a patch not just a plug. Even better if they do both.

Pretty sure the 4BW doesn't have run flats and it should have come with its own pump in the trunk where you'd expect a spare to be.

I have a to deal with a leak at least once a year (between my wife and kids, I steer around road debris ) but I never thought to post online about it. I just take the offending wheel/tire to my local tire shop for a (hopefully) quick and easy repair.

Note that this is rare, but a wheel can get a hairline crack and the tire losses pressure that way too. That happened to a friend of mine. The crack was small and barely visible. Could also be the valve stem leaking. Did they do the soapy water test?

Discount tire is good advice - they'll do it for free usually.
