Rumor: Buick Sedans Might Be Back Soon, Based on the 2027 Cadillac CT5

According to insider sources, Buick may return to making sedans for the US market with a bit of help from the Cadillac division's next-generation CT5

GM Authority understands that Buick could rely on Cadillac for the rear-wheel-drive platform of the yet-unconfirmed model. The next-generation CT5 is due for 2027 on the Alpha 2-2 architecture, which is best described as an evolution of the outgoing Alpha 2.

Thinking more about a GN, it would only make sense to use the BW4 engine with turbo's just to keep the same forced induction style as original. Maybe the Monte is a better option just to make sure the V8 doesn't disappear. I'm still waiting for an El Camino to come back.

I love some of the classic Buicks.
Placing the CT4 into the Buick family makes sense with it's poor sales under Cadillac.
I hope it retains it's current character, but they really should bring back some of the 80's Buick GNX Logos.

This would look dope as hell on the LF4.

If Cadillac had a reputation as being Grandpa's car and it took 20+ years to change that, Buick will probably need double that time if they want to break into the younger performance-oriented market. Buick is about the last US brand you'd associate with exciting.

I don't know about that. Buick had muscle cars and Cadillac didn't. Buick also had the Grand National with no Cadillac equivalent.
