Whatever the consensus believes is a 'regular parking spot', I'm pleading ignorance because I'm in love with a machine (again). Thankfully, I don't fall in love often, I don't want the missus to think she's #2.
Anyway, my son and I flew to pick up my fat-bottomed 4 "BlueWing" in Florida after an allocation order fell through in another state. Next 2 days were spent getting her front PPF'd before driving her to California.
512 miles later we stopped in Pensacola to have the oil/filter and transmission fluid changed before heading west for L.A. We watched Top Tier 91/93 fuel prices climb higher and higher then rediculously high in the Golden State. Along the way we met a lot of pleasant people not in cars and not so pleasant ones in cars (squatting in the left lane).
She behaved thanks to Cadillac's break-in guidelines until the Shell station in Big Spring, TX with exactly 1500 miles.
Some long, straight, high visibility Texas 2 lane back roads gave 'Blue' several opportunities to show her accelaration passing 9 or 10 cars trailing a semi-truck - with ease.
Son did a nice job, bringing her in from Phoenix on the 10 through our only traffic slowdown of the trip from south of downtown L.A. to just west of the 405.
In sum, she ran flawlessly while we tried to learn some of her bells and whistles on the fly. The Michelin PS4's summer tires, suspension, and brakes made a couple of emergency maneuvers feel instantaneous . . . thankfully.
From this forum member to an appreciative member/owner, thanks to all who helped me make this the most informed 'lovecar' acquisition in several decades.
