DUAL PERSONALITIES OF SWITCHPATH™:

Featuring AWE's patented drone-canceling 180 Technology®, the AWE SwitchPath™ brings no drone, minimal bends, maximum flow, and push-button attitude. The SwitchPath™ Exhaust is composed of dual 3-inch U.S.-sourced T304L stainless steel, a precision x-pipe, and a valved SwitchPath™ muffler tuned specifically for the 3.6TT.

Beginning after the factory mid-pipe, the precision X-pipe immediately helps smooth the 3.6TT of its rasp, deepening the tone before it's refined further by the bespoke SwitchPath™ muffler in the rear. Integrated machined valve brackets house the factory valve motors with precision to ensure all of the Blackwing’s valve characteristics remain intact and operate the same as the factory exhaust.

The closed valve experience:

When the valves are closed, the SwitchPath™ Exhaust produces a refined, aggressive howl while remaining full-bodied and powerful – no congested, metallic sounds when on the throttle. At cruising speeds, interior acoustics are close to stock with no drone at cruising speeds. AWE SwitchPath™ tech also responds perfectly to the factory parameters designated by the drive modes, opening the valves when reaching the designated throttle threshold.

The opened valve experience:

Open the valves and the FL4 roar is uncorked. Sport & Track modes achieve the ultimate contrast in behavior when compared to the Tour driving mode (valves closed). In Sport or Track mode, the exhaust note is powerful, clean, and aggressive. Thanks to the precision X-pipe, the rasp is still kept in check while allowing the exhaust note to reach full aggression.

If you’re looking for the best of both worlds (i.e. drone-free, clean aggression), and want to retain your factory valve behavior all while gaining peace of mind (i.e. emissions compliance), look no further than SwitchPath™.

LET’S TALK TIPS:

Finish it off with signature 4.5” double-walled, slash-cut tips in your choice of chrome silver or diamond black—each stamped with the AWE logo and individually adjustable for precise placement.

100% EMISSION-FRIENDLY:

AWE Exhausts do not interfere with any factory emissions equipment.

MADE IN PA, USA:

Engineered, designed, and manufactured in-house at AWE using premium US-sourced .065”-wall T304L stainless steel to achieve a tone deeper than everyone else.

THE FINE PRINT:

AWE’s Perfect Fitment Guarantee, No CEL Guarantee, and Lifetime Warranty all come standard.

I would prefer the stock look as well.

Happy that we have more options. A 4.5" quad tip on the back is extreme for my liking.

Looks great...sounds good. I can see installing these in my future. I'll probably want to hear more and see some reviews (and pricing) before deciding but I'm pleased with what i see and hear.

If I were to get an aftermarket exhaust, I think I'd prefer the Corsa slanted black chrome tips. Maybe AWE will have something similar at some point.

I agree = they are nice.

That looks pretty good!
CT5 Blackwing. Thoughts?
In R&D as we speak! Will be posting about this one sooon :)
The tips are silly. Should have done stock or similar. If round, definitely not sticking out the way they do.
They are depth adjustable, so that is certainly down to personal preference and can be set to your liking.
Disagree. I'm into those for sure.

@Sara/AWE Any info on pricing? Weight reduction vs the OE exhaust?
All of the info will be out as soon as the exhaust releases and I will be sure to bump and update the thread with all the info

I agree. I like a stock look with an exhaust upgrade.

Since the stock tips are welded to the system we were very limited when it came to options for this system and it would not be feasible to use the stock tips with our exhaust.

We did test some tip options for R&D anything smaller than 4.5 looked pretty ridiculous in the BW's uniquely shaped valance openings.

That being said, tip depth and placement is adjustable and also may be standing out more against our all black dev car's styling. Black tips will be available as an option as well.

Since the system is not released yet, not all the info is live. As soon as it is released the site as well as this thread will be updated with all the info

Is the loud path routed through a muffler or a straight pipe? Not a fan of straight pipe sound on this engine.

There is plenty of sound tuning via the X as well as 2 resonators ahead of the 180 Tech resonator that is valve-directed. We put much thought and engineering hours into the sound design of our systems not just tube path 👍

Personally, I have several hours behind the wheel and in my opinion our engineers provided a really well rounded system, smooth tame tones when the valve is closed and aggression on demand with them open, without being over the top. Luckily you don't have to take it from me since we post plenty of sound clips once the system releases for your review 🤝

We will offer a black option very similar to the 4.5" double walled and slash cut chrome ones shown. Of course more photos and video of both will be available upon release.
Seems like the slash cut is planned based on their description here: AWE Exhaust Suite for Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing - AWE
You got it! 4.5" double walled and slash cut tips in chrome silver and diamond black.

Will update the thread with more info as soon as it is released

I was so excited for AWE to be making a 4BW exhaust, but those tips are really bad. It sounds great, and I'm sure it's great build quality, but there's just no way I could live with that look.

I fully understand the engineering challenges that come with trying to re-use the stock tips and how that isn't feasible, but without a more understated option, it looks like I won't be considering this one.

Understated...
Thinking smaller tips or would the black ones be enough?
Looks like the tips clamp on so AWE may be able to offer some options.
