Hi,

Thanks for having me! Looking to purchase a CT5 V BlackWing but have some questions:

1 - When does '26 Production stop? I know it's the last year of this generation.
2- Based on the answer above, would I have time to order a BW?
3 - Should I wait for the next BW? Heard the CT5 lives on but what about the BW?

I've had many Corvettes and also a Chevy SS. I've always wanted a V series Cadillac and the BW is such an amazing car. Selling my '19 ZR1 which will afford me the opportunity to buy a BW.

Start calling dealers around you to look for an allocation. The amount of allocations a dealer gets is typically based upon the number of Blackwings that they sell. So Dealers do not get allocations each week and some may receive just one every few months. When they are allotted it is on Thursdays... With the order needing to be placed by Monday or they (and you) will lose the allocation. If you are asked to leave a deposit (a couple grand at most) it should be 100% refundable. Typically last orders ends in May-ish so they can finish production and gear up for the next model year, but it appears that this year will continue at least into the Fall, but I'd hop right on finding an allocation and placing an order now because that could always change ... Besides who wants to take delivery late in the year when you live in Michigan and won't be able to really let loose until the following Spring?! Feel free to look through inventory on the Cadillac website, cargurus, etc. ... But know that many of those that you see are prespoken for. Look through this site as well to find high volume dealers that will sell to out of state buyers and also for threads that list dealers selling at msrp. Next ct5 on a new platform won't be until 28 and who really knows (not just hope and conjecture) how good it's gonna be and whether it's going to be available as a Blackwing and/or rwd and/or have a manual option... But it does look to be at least be an ICE.
Good luck! Hope this helps...and I'm sure many others will chime in to add more info or correct me.

CT5 BW production will continue “until the end of the year”. No specific date yet, but assume that means sometime in Dec. Orders close about 2 months prior to end if prod, so assume the dealer would need to have an allocation and your order submitted by end of Sept at the very latest.

Getting a dealer who has an allocation may be tricky in your area depending on how high a volume dealer they are. If you are willing to travel, you can most certainly find a high volume dealer who will have an allocation and not charge above MSRP. Good luck!

That is great to hear! As I'm selling a car to get a CT5 BW so I'll need some time and not feel rushed. There is a new CT5 BW at a dealer near now that is very close to what I would order but may not be there once I sell my ZR1.
Was hoping to get a GM discount as my dad retired from GM. From what I've read it's not available on special cars like CT5 BW.

Thanks for the feedback!

Welcome! What are the specs on your ZR1? Manual? ZTK package? 2019 ZR1 is quite a desirable car and you will feel right at home in Blackwing!

My ZR1 is an M7 manual with ZTK. 1650 miles. Love it but with the value having gone up it makes me uncomfortable to be honest.
Would rather have a couple fun cars instead of one expensive one, if that makes sense.

Love it! Beautiful ZR1 and such low miles! You should be able to sell that quite easily. I am in Illinois and used LaFontaine Cadillac in Michigan to order my Blackwing in case that dealer is local to you. Jose Martinez was my salesperson. Great dealer and experience at MSRP.

Thanks! Yeah, LaFontaine is not too far at all. I was going to stop by and see them, good to know you had a great experience. Just hate some of the typical dealer BS.
