- 2026 CT5-V Blackwing
Hi all,
Just took possession of a 2026 CT5-V Blackwing. Carbon 1 and 2, sunroof, manual, Black Raven, black top-tier seats, red seatbelts and calipers. Just had PPF and ceramic done. Absolutely love the car. Have had 2 Corvettes, M2, M3, Golf R and X5M in past 5 years and have to say this is my favourite.
I had an order in at a large volume dealer but sales rep said 50/50 on it being picked up. In Canada at least - even when custom orders come in, they show up in dealer inventory for a couple of days so I just kept calling dealers and sure enough (luck as well) called right when the person that originally ordered it changed his mind. Right place, right time as they say. It was almost my exact specification except I wanted base seats and graphite rims. But close enough.
Side note 1 - I am 6'3" and....ahem...could stand to lose a few pounds let's say. So I was really leery about the mid and top tier seats because of the side thigh bolsters. However, as it turns out, absolutely no issue - I spent a 3 hour trip in them and was fine. They are slightly adjustable as well. So if you are worried - it might be ok.
Side note 2 - I really wanted the graphite rims. If there is anyone in Ontario reading this that wanted aluminum and would like to trade (I would add cash as the graphite were a $750 option) please let me know.
Mike
