Is the CT4V Blackwing fun at legal-ish speeds

Would love to pick your brain on this. Currently looking at either a type R or CT5V Blackwing for my new daily. Almost impossible to find a CT5V around me to test drive. Coming from a Taycan Turbo and really torn between these two for a fun family daily. Cost isn’t a factor in my decision either.
Where do you live? This is a key part of answering this question. I am in Ontario, Canada a bit North, so is not possible (or at-least partially disabling to only have the CT5 BW, it sucks in the winter and even rain).

If you have a Taycan Turbo, you need the Blackwing. The CTR should not even be an option. I only bought my CTR because I had it on order, and can make a tidy profit by flipping it after I am tired of it (they sell for $8k-$10k over MSRP in Canada).

Oh interesting. Do you think the non-LE package Camaros handle as well on the street?

I love Camaros. I owned a gen 5 as my DD for 3 years, and drove a Gen6 regular SS for a while. Love both. My 1LE was also a ZL1. Drivetrain and looks were out of this world, but the rigid suspension killed DD usability. A regular ZL1 has mag shocks similar to the BW.

If you don't need a back seat, a ragtop ZL1 stick shift would be a perfect car. The convertible was much better than I expected. I thought the steeply raked windshield would come too far back to really see over it, but I was wrong. Its a great convertible.

Live in South Carolina so a lot of nice weather and great mountain roads. Just not sure how the Blackwing feels on nice twisty roads. I know the type r feels great on those.

The Blackwing feels better. Even better than the new Type R. I have had the FK8 and FL5, I would pick the CT4BW every single time.

Yes, I currently have a 2025 CT5 BW. Had a CT4 BW last year.

Get the CT5 BW if you can afford it, its special, very very special. Better than my GT3 and any car I have driven, only thing that came close was my ZL1 1LE, but we needed more room.
Any experience with the CT5?

That’s what I was looking for there. Hard to tell if a car is special or not without driving it. The type R for sure had that feeling for me. Thanks for the response.

The BW is going to carve up those twisty roads and as you build up confidence you your smiles per gallon will go through the roof.
