Kidding, nobody wats to see that. Hello my name is Jim I'm new here but not new to car forums. Looking forward to talking to everyone. Have a 2026 CT5 V Blackwing on order, though it hasn't been accepted by GM. Just ordered it last weekend. Here's to keeping my fingers crossed.

Are you familiar with GM's allocation system?

Not really. I saw a post that explained the codes.
The thing is, having an order in doesn't guarantee that it will ever get accepted and built. How big of a dealer are you working with and what is their history in regard to Blackwing sales?

I get it. I do not know specifically how much they sell annually or how many allocations they will get. They just seemed confident they'd be getting more allocations. They've been around for 100yrs as a dealership and are quite large in my neck of the woods. So I'm hopeful but I know it's not guaranteed.

Welcome Jim. You'll love your BW. It's only the BMW owners who don't like them ... for some reason :)

I had mine "on order" for since November...six months. At three dealerships. They had no luck getting the spec I wanted while they received other specs of Blackwings that were not sold. It was very frustrating. However, I also watched the Cadillac website for my spec to come available. I found it once and was not successful in making the deal. I actually had a deal and then the dealer backed out. Very frustrating. However, I just found and bought a very close spec and canceled my "order" with the three dealers.

Frankly, with a new model coming in 2027, I doubt we are in for many more months of Blackwing production. They will have to retool for the new model and start producing 2027 model year cars in 2026.

Damn, that seems frustrating. If it happens it happens, if it doesn't then it doesn't. I won't be too upset. There will always be something I'll find to spend money on. :D
