So I'm pretty sure I recently got my car viciously keyed or similar right across the front bumper fascia just below the grille.šŸ¤¬

Was so prepared to need to get it painted etc... until my guy Mike at Autobella got his hands on it today and saw that the ppf totally saved my bumper...so friggin' excited!

See video:

This was deep, wide, & nasty... just how @Tall Steve likes 'em!

By the way... this is what the car looks like clean with the Llumar Valor PPF:

Yep, it's worth it if you value your paint. Mine took a hit just above the diveplane by what seems to have been a sharp metal piece. There was a small paint chip but the damage would've been worse without the PPF.

If any of you saw a previous post of mine in the "what did you do" thread regarding a bad driver trying to park and running into my back bumper. It goes in next week for new PPF/ceramic on the bumper. No paint damage!

For those that have done full vehicle ppf what did you pay? I got quoted 9k from a very reputable shop here in AZ who uses xpel.

Thanks

That should at least include ceramic coating of the full vehicle, wheels and brake calipers in addition to the PPF.

I paid a touch over half that using xpel and Gyeon Quartz ceramic. Wheels removed and ceramic'ed along with the calipers too. This from a place I consider over priced but they're in a great spot with a lot of car guys that don't care about the price.

I'm not a fan of PPF for many reasons that we won't get into here, but I have had it on two cars (installed before I bought them) and I gotta say, in certain circumstances, it can really save your bacon.

Glad it worked out for you, dribs.

As an aside, let me state that people who key other people's cars, if that person is not a cheating ex, those "keyers" should be terminated with extreme prejudice. There is just no excuse for that kind of behavior.

8k flat (including taxes) for full car Llumar Valor 12 year warranty supplies/labor. Included paint correction, etc + ceramic coating wheels/calipers.

I have the equivalent of the track pack on mine. If I had gone full coverage it could have even been a cost savings in the long run. I got side swiped, and though paintless dent repair and buffing largely fix it. But PPF would have kept this simply at dent removal.

Thanks for all the feedback regarding pricing, I'll be shopping around!

I'm in the same boat. Seen so many horror stories with it. But when maintained properly and removed in a timely manner when it needs to, it does a great job at doing what it's designed to do.
