Has anyone installed the EOS CF hood on their CT4-V BW? If so, what was your experiences/thoughts?

How was the fitment?
How was the CF quality?
Were there any issues with the finish on the CF?
How hard was the install?

I saw someone on here or Facebook show how fitment isn't 100% and the CF has flaws you can easily see one of which was so bad he didn't want to install it. You definitely want to check it out immediately when it arrives and send it back if it isn't good enough for you but be prepared to be let down compared to OEM CF bits.

I bought mine through Vladi at Street driven performance. The CF Hood came from EOS. Fitment is not 100 percent perfect of course like you said for such a large piece of CF. I had to adjust the front latch a lot because the original positioning of it doesn't close the hood flush at all. I also had to put spacers/washers on the 4 bolts that attach the hood to the hinges to raise the back slightly which in turn lowered the front to sit a little more flush. I also removed the cover plate for the vent as it was rubbing against the engine cover. After all those adjustments, which takes patience, I've got my hood to sit as flush as I could without it rubbing the engine cover. It is not a perfect OEM fitment. The side gaps are noticeably larger, but not too bad for me. I can post pictures later on here but if you search for CF hood on the Facebook forums (Blackwing Owners, CT4-V Blackwing Owners, etc) I'm the one who posted about a CF hood. Vladi refunded me 200 bucks since I wasn't too pleased with the fitment which was cool. I also took the OEM (weather?) seal from the OEM hood and attached it with 3M tape to the CF hood to close the gap more in the front. All in all, I would say it's a 90-95% good fit after adjustments. Biggest thing are the side gaps.

Here are the pics.

That doesn’t look too bad. The front gap looks a little bigger than OEM. If so, any issues with hood wobble at freeway speeds?

Was the extra work worth the time?
