Hey guys,

Car has been wonderful, but I had something strange happen today and I'm wondering if anyone has a similar experience. I was heading home from work and had a wide open area to let her loose from a rolling start onto an access ramp. I went full throttle in first gear and I had two quick distinct blips where I lost throttle response before it came back. The result was the usual full throttle thrill, then a jerky 4000 - 5000 RPM range where I lost all power for ~.2 second intervals.

I let off the throttle before slowing down and shifting into 2nd gear, and the car seemed totally fine after that. It didn't object to a bit of throttle in 2nd or 3rd gear, but I'm a bit concerned by the complete loss of power in that moment. No check engine lights, no further issues on my drive home.

Any thoughts?

I'd agree with jbawden. In the default settings when TC kicks in it is very noticable.

Appreciate the responses guys. I usually turn it into V mode when I'm about to do a little spirited driving, and I have the traction control on a much less aggressive setting in that, so it's very possible. I'll monitor, but that's seems pretty feasible.

Do you have PDR? If you do just go back look at the video and see what’s going on. That’s what we did when our fiasco started was able to show the dealer the events..

Sorry for the ignorance. Does the traction control system just pull spark? My previous cars, it has pulled fuel.

I've had this happen to me twice. Both times under hard acceleration. The first time, I thought I hit the rev limiter but I was around 6000 RPMs. Second time it happened, I was pretty sure it was TC. It sounds like a misfire.
