V-Series Cadillac(s)?
CT4 BW (sold Sep 2024), CT5 BW (TPW May 2025)
Hope everyone is enjoying the weather and driving season!

I got my CT5 BW July 15, and seems I should cross 1,200 miles or 2,000km by the end of this week.

I have an appointment at my dealership for an oil change, alignment check (I know it is off), and MAYBE if I have to do it the rear differential fluid?

Thoughts?

Did any of you do preventative maintenance or anything of sorts for the break-in mileage?

I remember someone writing about rear differential fluid, not sure if that is mandatory.

PFA! Loving the car.

I had the oil and filter changed at +/- 850 miles. I changed it again at 3,765 miles. Just the other day, I had the dealer change the rear differential fluid at 4,786 miles. The tech said the fluid wasn't bad, but I'd rather be proactive than reactive.

Better to be proactive and better be safe than sorry. I have the same drift metallic exterior. Nice choice. Hope you're enjoying your vehicle as well. I'm enjoying mine much better than expected. I didn't realize the power and torque of this vehicle was such a kick in the pants compared to anything else I've experienced so far in my 20 or 25 years of driving history with all sorts of cars and sports cars.

Diff fluid is a good idea but GM does not require a break-in service for it unless you plan on tracking the car.

My car direct from the factory had a terrible alignment. Not surprised yours does as well.

Car looks great!

I have ALWAYS done a an engine "break in " oil change on my new cars. Don't care what the dealership says. I know too many engine builders that have said that it is a cheap insurance policy. Did mine at 1427 miles, since it was my first FREE oil change anyway. My car has only 6500 miles on her and its already had 4 oil changes in its 3 years.

I thought they cover up to 8 oil changes within first 4 years? At least that's what the Canadian website says.

I too had the differential fluid replaced early on. Doing fluid replacements more often than the manual specifies can never harm and may well help. Don

I guess it depends on what dealership you buy from. I got the first one free and that was it. I bought a new 2022 Kia Telluride from a local dealer. They offered 10 free oil changes. I drove cross country with the car and when I got back I wanted my free oil change. They told me that the dealership changed owners and that they were not honoring the past deal. Same name on the front of the building. I threatened to sue them and they eventually cut me a check for $750 to make me go away.

But this one isn't an offer by the dealership, it's from GM and part of the new vehicle package: Site Maintenance

Seems like it's a Canadian thing, I can't find that same offer for US vehicles.
