Help! CT4V BW Parking Sensors

Noticed today that the parking sensors would not turn on. Tried restarting car but no change. Any ideas?

Sounds like a dealer trip if it's still under warranty.

If not or you don't want to go, disconnect the battery for 10 minutes and reconnect.

If it's still an issue, my first thought would be a software issue. Only a dealer can fix.

You can check all the physical connections but these sensors are finicky and don't always throw a code when out of spec. They usually throw a code if inoperable.

Took it to the dealer today. Funny story though. Ran into another car guy who was thinking about an ct5v BW but wanted to know if I had any sensor problems!

Every car with parking sensors I've owned had issues except my '23 Escalade. Well see..... lol

Anyone with parking sensors have an issue with the ground being picked up as an obstacle? Every now an again when I back out of my driveway, the collision sensor will jam on the brakes and it scares the shit out of my passengers. BTW, the driveway is not steep, at most a 6 inch drop off going down the sidewalk.

Yes, I had a similar problem. Assuming you haven't had any body work done and the sensor is undamaged and clean, it has to do with the way the sensors are installed, a defective sensor, or a calibration issue.

If the car is still under warranty I would take it in.

The car has only 1500 miles on it so far and no accidents. When I called to talk to the service advisor they basically said that is how it is. That's why I asked here. I guess I will have to insist it be looked at. It's so annoying, if they do nothing I guess I just turn it off.

The radar sensor polling on GM vehicles is terrible. It's not instantaneous, like most vehicles, but GM's implementation is very temperamental. It's a brand new car, so they can run a recalibration.

When new sensors were installed on my Escalade they had to do it so it can't hurt.
