Continuous Electrical Power While Vehicle Engine Not Running (started)?

I'd like to have continuous electrical power provided to my CT5-V BW while at car shows without draining my vehicle's battery dead. Don't want to justify why...just need help with recommendations on how to do it.

Can I place a 12v Marine battery in my trunk and connect the Marine battery's positive to the positive on my vehicle's positive post and the Marine battery's negative post to my vehicle's negative post without issue? Or is there another recommended method?
