Cleaning this thing is a BITCH !!!

Are those canards available for the CT5 BW anyone know? Also how are they attached? TIA
Only the 4BW can get OEM canards with the CF1 package. There are aftermarket options for the 5BW if you want to drill into the bumper (probably all the same kit):

Not sure I agree my C7 ZO6 seems easier to keep clean with fewer nooks and crannies. Just my opinion
I'm indifferent. I think the front of the Z06 is easier but the rear seems to collect more dust while driving, plus you have the rear vents that are a chore to clean and dry.

Can anyone recommend a good bug catching net? I plan on doing a 7Kmi trip this summer and don't want to clean the car till I return

IMHO, anything you put on the front of the car is just going to get rubbed against the paint by the wind and bug guts will ooze through, anyway. On long trips, I keep a kit in a ziplock bag in the trunk that has what I need to keep the car clean, plus visit a self service wash bay when I need to. Some ceramic spray before you go will also make the bugs easier to get off.

I usually just carry a hand towel. At the hotel, I soak it in warm water and wipe the nose and mirrors down. Gets 90% off. I used to carry detail spray too, but I don't anymore, but you could.

When I was up in South Dakota and Wyoming last month, the Yukon was so dirty from the dirt roads, I found a touchless car wash and ran it through. Did a pretty good job. I won't use a regular "touch" car wash.

The honey comb grills top/bottom “look great”!
But after hauling ass through summer’s farm country we’re talking toothbrush detailing . . .
😳

I have a whole detail center set up on the side of my home. I have an electric awning to keep sunshine away, portable vacuum, 2000psi Greenworks electric pressure washer, hot/cold water connection w/ foam cannon and a 75' hose attached to a 30 gallon compressor in my basement. The hot water works great for removing bugs, but ...I also had the whole front end PPF'd and ceramic coated. November will be here soon and the 5BW will go into storage until next April. Taking her on a 222 mile foliage viewing cruise up the Hudson Valley in a week, weather permitting. My 2022 should hit the 7000 mile mark around that time.
You need to drive it more, only 7000 miles on a 2022!!!

Go out and enjoy your excellent, high performance car. Don

I have 4 other rides too. My cool cars are a 1967 Cadillac DeVille convertible and my 2014 Challenger RT. I spread the love amongst the three, but the BW gets treated the best ! My ho-hum daily rides are a Telluride and a Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Years back I witnessed a motorcyclist (motocross) spraying his bike with a spray can of PAM cooking oil. Thinking he was nutz, or I was seeing things, I approached him and asked "What are you doing?" Then he looked at me like I was the nutty one. He explained that it keeps the clay/mud/oil/gas/dirt from attaching to the metal and plastic and also stops the red clay from staining the plastics. To this day, you'll see those-in-the-know still doing this. Don't know if I'd leave it on for more than a day or two as I've never tried it to see if it hurt anything, but it's safe enough to eat. It works great as a pre-trip prep. After you get to where you're going...wash it off. Better than spending countless clock hours with a toothbrush laying down in your driveway.

I'd use any of the number of ceramic-infused detail sprays before I'd cover my car in cooking oil. Chemistry has come a long way over the last several years.

As others have said, I try to give it a quick wipe down (at least the front bumper area), this is especially important in the summer, as the bugs in Oklahoma make a mess fairly quickly. :)

I would agree with anyone that has tried anything and if it worked...great. Just saying that the PAM has worked for me...with the clay and lovebugs in Oklahoma, and any bugs with the heat in Arizona.

Years ago I was driving from NY to Alabama. It was "Love Bug" season. What a freakin' mess ! This was in the days when tractor trailer trucks like Kenworth had that huge flat front end. Those truckers had to stop every hour or so, just to clean the windshields so they could see.
