Does anyone have experience swapping wheels with Carbon Ceramic brakes? How fragile are the brakes? Do use any tools for assistance? If so, please provide links. Thanks in Advance.

If you have CCB, then there should have been 4 foam pads in the trunk when you bought the car. The foam pads go on top of the rotor when changing wheels. This is to prevent the wheel from slamming down on the top of rotor and cracking it.

I use a wheel alignment pin that helps when trying to get the wheel onto the studs.

Just use the foam pads on the rotors and an alignment pin and you'll be fine, the CCBs are fragile so don't let the wheel slam down on them.

I picked up a nice set of Powerstop Z23 evolution pads and rotors off carid.com - absolutely loving it. SHould have done earlier.

I don't have CCB on my 5BW but do on my C8 Z06. What I do: I have QuickJacks & lower/raise the car & rest the wheel I'm removing/replacing onto a wheel dolly. I can get the wheel onto the dolly within 1/8 inch & just slide the wheel off/on with the dolly. This also saves my back any distress. It took me a couple of tries the first time I did this to line up the studs but now I've gotten pretty proficient at it.

I use the Steelman pins even on my non CCB V, just to keep the painted calipers from getting accidental scrapes.

For those that don't have CCB the pads aren't necessary.

Those have exposed threads and work on BMW's and Porsche but not on studs that are on Blackwings/Camaro's etc.
Ah okay, didn't realize these were the inverse. Guess I'll have to pick one of these up too then.
