CarPlay connectivity

My V5 BW does not always automatically connect with CarPlay. I may ( not always)first start the car and it connects fine. If I get somewhere and then come back and start the car, it does not quickly if it all connect with CarPlay with my iPhone.
Looking for similar issues with anyone else, and what to do about it

My 5 picks up the signal faster than any of my other vehicles. Mine isn't a DD but I have yet to have any hiccup.

I have no issues with wireless CarPlay on my 4. In my experience, deleting the phone from the car infotainment and deleting the car from the iPhone remedies this issue. In addition, if you still plug in via cable to the car, the cable takes precedence over the wireless. But if you wait for wireless to connect first, and then plug in the cable, it will stick with a wireless connection, even while plugged in and charging. BUT if you plug in while the wireless is attempting to connect, there will be some delays as the phone and car figure out which protocol to communicate with.

I know this is an issue of thread but figured post anyway in case someone has the same issue. My CarPlay was working fine wireless till the day I activated OnStar. Poking around I noticed my Hotspot was disabled, I then called Onstar and asked to check if my car’s WiFi was disabled, in fact..they did disable my cars WiFi for whatever reason, as soon as they reenabled the car’s WiFi everything worked fine.

Short story.. If CarPlay stops working, check your hotspot settings, if it’s grayed out, call Onstar to enable it.

I had the same and I think I figured out a problem & solution.

If your phone goes into "DRIVING" focus mode, CarPlay doesn't work.

If I turn off Driving Focus, it connects immediately.

This is the kind of genius out of the box thinking we come to expect from Apple
