Not sure how many of yall are into F1, and I myself am only a casual fan within a renewed sense of ownership being that I work for Cadillac. This is a pretty exciting time all around to be a Cadillac enthusiast. I wanted to post and see for the F1 faithful, how do we feel? Obviously jumping into a sport as competitive as F1 is going to have its hiccups, and to master the sport and compete for a title is insanely difficult. Overall I am quite pleased with how Cadillac performed, especially with other teams facing similar difficulties dealing with the new rules. Seems like a great year for Cadillac to join to grid.

I wish Bottas could have finished, but I'm still super happy for the guys. Perez drove well and P16 is a worthy start for this team. I still love the livery, the driver choice, and the overall direction of the team. I really can't wait to see what the year brings, and I have a renewed interest in the sport for sure.

I was happy that they finished but at the same time a little disappointed that only one car finished. I know it was a huge undertaking to start from scratch. As long as they are getting better every race that’s all I care about.

I confess, I'm a little detached at this point. 2029 will be the real test, when they use their own engines. Using Ferrari means that they'll have good power, which obviously means a lot. Not as much as the Ferrari team, no doubt, but solid--enough to grab points here and there if the rest of the car is decent. But once 2029 comes things could get very interesting--possibly not in a good way.

Yes, greatly looking forward to the Cadillac power unit.
