Auto alarm - interior sensor

Nearly every time i leave my 5BW unattended and my wife is waiting in the car, the alarm goes off. i expect pets would be even worse.

Can it be turned off ?

i have it set to auto lock when i walk away (main reason to have keyless ignition).

Middle button near the reading lights.

You can also also press & hold the unlock button on the door until it chimes so that it doesn't auto lock until you start the car again.
