Welcome to the Cadillac V-Series Forums!

anyone have a Z06 and BW? or trade to a Z06?

I had both at the same time, sold the Z06 and sent my 5BW 6 speed to LMR it's now 863rwhp. The Z06 just has no torque, its only fun from 5000-8600rpm's. Should edit my photo since I sold the car.

Not surprised to hear this. Someone on the Corvette Forum mentioned that he downgraded from a C8 Z06 to a C8 Stingray because, in order to enjoy the Z06, he had to drive it in the upper RPM range—which he felt was unsafe for street driving.
I'm on my second car with the LT4. The low-end torque out of this engine is addicting as hell!

Well I’m used to high revving engines as I’ve had a few Ducatis and Aprilias along with Kawasaki and Honda bikes. In fact the Z06 sort of makes up for not having a bike anymore, as I realized going 100 plus leaned over in a turn is no longer my thing.

The options/opinions don’t matter to you, but they obviously do to a lot of people because there aren’t a ton of 1LZs compared to 2LZ and 3LZ. You are already spending six figures might as well have some nice creature comforts. The rear view camera mirror, which I believe only comes with and is available on the 2LZ and up is a huge help with the obvious blind spots of the car.

If you are only using it for a track car or strictly weekend canyon carver, sure 1LZ all day. If you actually use it more than that it’s 114k for 1LZ and 9k more for some really nice options at 123k/2LZ.

You always get so pissy when someone has a different opinion or experience from you. I don’t give a shit what or how people spend their money on cars, was only giving a more detailed write up/opinion from only get 1LZ.
Your comment comes across more pissy than mine. Apparently you are very upset at my comments on the forum, which means my comments do matter.

I guess that means you take my opinion with a lot of regard but I have no idea what your opinion is or recognize who you are.

Everything you mentioned has nothing to do with the options on a Z06, thats a fact. I understand wanting heated seats, blind spot monitoring etc but you mentioned none of that. Instead you mentioned things like the DCT, which is the same no matter what you choose to option. Getting a 3LZ doesn't change how the car shifts.

Maybe re-read your original comment and realize the point you were trying to convey doesn't actually work because you weren't talking about the items you are talking about now. This is why I called it out.

You're mentioning the cameras and higher trim levels now but your original comment did not, you talked about the suspension and DCT, than you got mad that I pointed this out because those items don't change across the trim levels.

This is all I'm saying, you didn't articulate yourself correctly but apparently you have strong opinions on my opinions.

Think I might get a Z06, been looking and great deals out there right now with prices lower than MSRP. Good selection too before the 26 refresh. Thinking carbon fiber wing package and front end lift, looked into the Z07 package but don't want the Cup2s on the street. A few I've found have the carbon brakes only and one has carbon brakes and carbon wheels. Anyhow did you like it? got tired of it? reliability seems to be good, a few had engines replaced but not many. Hardcore cars like that can get on your nerves after a while. Only space for 1 car for me. Seems to be a good list of 1 and two year old used ones, low miles as I think people got a bit more roughness than they bargained for or the wife hated it. GM is not selling them certified though. Just the remainder of the warranty.
I’m lucky enough to have both.

Now that I’ve added the Corsa Extreme exhaust to the black wing, it definitely is the best daily driver and I have to choose one over the other the black wing wins. It is the best of both worlds. I’m pushing 60 so maybe it’s the comfort I like of the Cadillac but I’ve had 4 Z06’s and this is the best one by far the dual clutch, and the flat plane crank engine make it one of the most engaging cars I’ve ever had, I had the C7 Z06 and the AMGGTR, and this new Z06

is the most engaging of all of them .
