CT5-V Anderson Composites Hood Installed

I ordered my hood on Wednesday (late at night) and the shipper (Maersk) already called me Monday morning to make a delivery. I didn't answer my cellphone because it came up as possible spam caller. They left a message with my delivery number and said that they were at JFK airport. My brothers shop is about half a mile away. I live 30 miles away. I called and left a message for them to call me back. I would like them to drop ship it at the family shop. I hope they call back tomorrow morning. Things are moving quickly . If the shop gets it tomorrow, maybe my brother can install and paint it before he leaves to follow me to the Caribbean. I could never be so lucky.

Finally got in touch with the shipping company and of course they will only deliver it to my house. I will be on a plane. I should have put the body shop address on the order. I won't be here to inspect it and I hope they package it really well. Now looking at beginning of May to get it done. Good things come to those who wait !

I can vouch for that. As I said in a prior post, my rear spoiler was packaged so well, that even FedEx couldn't have damaged it.

My daughter said it was delivered today. Unfortunately, I am away in beautiful St. Maarten for 2 weeks. I knew I should have cancelled my vacation !

I assume you meant cooling, not cooking.

No data on cooling to my knowledge but I can tell you that when I remove the rain tray, you can see the visible heat waves coming out of the vented area of the hood from inside the car.

Most people buy the hood for the looks, the cooling is just a bonus. The weight savings is minimal.

Yes, some people have this hood installed on the 25-26 models too, there's no difference in the hood between them and then 22-24 models. Any decent paint shop can paint match Typhoon Metallic.

You waiting on the black tips? The polished tips are in stock. I got tired of waiting for the black tips to be stocked so I ordered the polished tips and had them cerakoted black.

Yep, i'm 3 weeks into the wait atm. If it extends past 6 weeks i may go that route too.

For what its worth, it was an 8 week wait time when I ordered mine 2 months ago, and looks like the wait time is still going...
